    Attention MK908 V3 people! MK908-android-4.2.2-jjhmod-UNIVERSAL-v2.01 Download

    Current as of 8/29/13:

Here's a link to my New mk908 rom and updated kernels. Enjoy!

    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l-Rom-Download!

OLD - left it here anyway.

This rom is once again based on the stock rom released by tronsmart on 8/2/13 that supposedly works on the v3 sticks. It's the same system.img as my universal 2.0 basically but I have finally got a kernel working that has been verified on a V3 stick by Legitsu. The speed isn't quite what I want it to be yet but it does have the frameskip fixed as well as all my other usual kernel additions. Please consider this rom in testing phase right now as I have only had one user confirm functionality, although I think it's going to work alright. It runs great on my V1 stick as well, hence the "universal" tag. Please try it out as I think it will be the solution for V3 owners to actually have a useable stick at the moment. We will get the speed issues figured out eventually - basically it's locked at 1200mhz cpu speed right now. The kernel is 1080, but this rom will appear visually the same as a 720 rom does - it's just how this rom is.

Good Luck! And here it is: MK908-android.4.2.2.jjhmod.universal.v2.01

Thank you very much for your work, I really appreciate it.

I have a question... Do you have a procedure to flash it?

    Thanks a lot.-

Just use the flasher program included with the download. No need to change any options. You do have to start your stick in bootloader mode though by holding down the tiny button inside it and then plug it into your pc with a usb cable whilst still holding down the button. You do not want to power it with it's AC adapter for this part ideally, just the pc's usb port. In the flasher, do an IDB erase first (there's a button) and then when it's done with that, you can flash.

Installed and testing. First custom ROM I'm able to boot on my v3
ATM randomly rebooting and unstable WiFi, as the same of the stock firmware. I'll test more once I'll download some software.

Tested with long downloads: sometime wifi indicator on the bottom right of the screen is blue but downloads aren't going futher. Going to settings and disabling wifi caused a reboot - happened other times with newer stock ROM too.

Another power adapter? You mean... something other than the USB power adapter bundled with MK908?

Yeah the bundled ones are often crap, even though they claim 5v at 2A they often can't actually maintain that.

that of if he hasn't done any cooling mods it could very well be overheating

                              1080p

Thank you hoabycsr! Very much appreciates your efforts. I'm a newbie and just wondering if changing this to a 1080 visual is as simple as taking a boot1080.img from another package?
