You did not understand correctly. I have said that the M8S Pro W 2.4 GHz already comes with the Android TV OS. Soon there will be no need to use the firmware of this topic. And still want to trade for some bug that the OEM firmware will have the possibility of the firmware of this topic not being compatible with your box, just see the latest comments.

There is and for the price difference, it would be interesting to get the Air Mouse, or you can choose to pick up the model with gyro in the Alie. Search for Air Mouse G10s.

Hello all. I have a Mecool M8S Pro+ Android TV OS TV Box with voice remote control. It is working good enough for my fathers daily use. But there is one problem with stock firmware. Exo player does not play 4K HLS streams,.

I usualy had success with this modified firmware but in title it says it is for M8S Pro W and not M8S Pro+. Specifications looks the same. Is it possible it will still work?

My current firmware is "7.1.2/api25/M8S PRO PLUS-userdebug 7.1.2 NHG47L 20180827.121904.V0213" and I am affraid if I flash it, that I will not be able to go back, since I can't find this stock firmware anywhere. Also I do not want to lose any Widewine licenses if any.

What do you think? Would it work on M8S Pro+ S905W (2GB RAM /16GB ROM)?

Hello, from what I've been reading the devices M8S Pro W, M8S Plus W and M8S Pro Plus (S905W) who comes with SoC S905W 1 / 2GB of RAM and Android TV OS, have a different bootloader of this model M8S Pro W here of the forum .

Probably, installing this firmware will result in 'hardbrick' on your device. My suggestion is that you try to make software changes and use players like MX Player or VLC Player. Change the SW, HW, and HW + settings.

Yes, but exist M8S Pro W 2.4G with 1GB/8GB too... My device is the M8S Plus W with 1GB/8GB but exist a variant with 2GB/16GB.

I was using the VIA browser before doing the upgrade.

No. This model M8S Pro W 2.4G is 2GB RAM.
