Antonio72 i used this guys guide and was real easy to understand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inN7g9YrqZ8 and used Trebor's firmware image and it worked really well.Could there of been a problem when you flashed it? i dunno..

masher17 I used this video and the update was successful. The cpu indicated 150 Fahrenheit. I may just need to buy a small fan and wait for a new update. I appreciate your input.

Antonio72 i use a fan that works great and there is a post about the one i use..i put my TV box on top and its always cool...hope this helps you.

I ordered the H96 Max 4g/32gb and it kept crashing. I updated to the 6/20 firmware update. Now, the cpu runs hot and after watching a movie for over 90 minutes, the box crashes. Otherwise, an incredible picture. I am running 7.1. Hopefully, 8.0 and a future firmware update will remedy the crash problem. I am a novice and any advice is always appreciated.

Maybe a fan is needed.

There is new firmware for the 4/64 version of this box, I imagine it works on the 4/32 as well, if anyone wants to try & confirm

Anyone have the latest firmware for this device H96 MAX - H2 RK3328?
The latest firmware that I have is RK3328-BOX_7.1.2_20180620.2051_H96MAX.img. Need to update to higher android version, because cannot update latest youtube app with version 7.1.2.

Already tried to upgrade with firmware from RK3328 H96 MAX+ RK3328_DC_H96_Max+_HS2734C_9_20191031.2215.img, but failed, device always on boot mode and only showing H96max+ screen, so I revert back to 7.1.2

Latest firmware for this H2 box is the same as Mx10 pro 4k...
