On my Nexus 7 with a 7" screen its far better than my Sumvision Freestyle Airmouse - and the on screen mouse pointer is very precise.
I have to wave my Airmouse about a bitLive as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever

Yes I have this keyboard mouse k400 its nice and rounded perfect for the couch plus my stick is on the back side of the wall in the utility room and never had a reception issue! And very percise mouse movement from the mouse multi touch pad I highly recommend this keyboard/mouse
One more thing you will have both at the same time! I still have to use rk remote to navigate some touch screen only games like bad piggies or shadow gun dead vzone has no support for mouseMinix neo x7 custom quickshot V3.1 kitkat with cpu1700 video stock and oc ram 720 kernal
HTC Amaze 4g unofficial cyanogen mod 11 KitKat 4.4.4
ASUS Nexus 7 (original 2012 tegra 3) Cyanogen mod 12 Lollipop 5.0.2

I like mine.
Find and install NULL Keyboard app. It's light with no permissions or anything. Set it as a optional keyboard first, NULL, then switch the default to NULL.
No more onscreen keyboard taking up half the screen!
The right mouse click is the back button and it has a shortcut mouse button on the upper right corner of the keyboard. I don't recall if it's left or right button of the top of my head.
It works well and I use my USB hub through the OTG port to plug in the receiver. Works perfect.
The play, pause, and volume keys work on everything but Netflix for the most part.
NULL Keyboard is a must have app with an external keyboard and mouse combo.
$25 is a great price too.

K400 is what I use as well! Love it for the price.

I prefer a device I can dedicate to a task, which is my plan for the K400.
By using my Nexus 7 I have a 6" x 3.5" (extremely smooth) touch pad - my X7 is now just as fast, fluid & silky smooth as my Nexus 7, and because I use a NAS box with thousands of MP3 files and over 500 movies / TV shows , navigating these via the Nexus 7 using XBMC is a doddle and from start to finish (including time for Nexus 7 to wake up) is infinitely faster than using a remote keyboard / airmouse.
Just swiping through pages of movies is as fast as it is on my Nexus 7.
Whilst I am browsing the dozens of videos using VideoMixPro I also have IMDB open in another window (on my Nexus 7) and can quickly swap between IMDB / RK Remote to check if a movie is any good. Its a no brainer & works well for me.
I don't think people have any idea just how fast & silky smooth the X7 is until you control it from an Android tablet - it shocked me when I used my Nexus 7 for the 1st time.
I only use my X7 as a media centre - dont use it to send emails or make notes - I can do all of this with my Nexus 7 at the same time as I am watching a movie on the X7.
Just my 2c worth
P.S. How do you FF / Rewind, play, pause a movie with the K400 - is this possible?Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever

Most of my use for the X7 will be to use Android apps, Chrome, tapatalk, etc. Also, for testing my Android apps. I am not a big fan of XBMC and get most of videos from youtube, NetFlix, Amazon, etc. In these applications I have to enter text in the search dialogs, etc and I find typing on the tablet to be painful.
I tried my K400 on YouTube and it works fine for controlling the playback. As soon as you move your finger on the trackpad the playback control bar appears and a tap does the action. I think this will be faster for me then unlocking my Nexus 7 and entering commands. The keyboard also has pause, play, FF, and rewind in the function keys. I have not tried those, but others report they work well.
