Try pushing the reset button in the hole on the back of the tablet with a paper clip.

I have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps that I know of.
It sounds like a hardware problem.
This has happened to me several times before, but just as I was about to give up...something magic happened and it started working.
Just retrace the steps and see if any little change will make a difference...that usually works for me.
Don't give up just yet.Randy

I'm still hoping. Thanks for your time Randy.

Hi Randy,
My tablet is alive. I already flashed it to the latest update firmware from pipo. I detected the problem its the connector from the tablet to otg cable. You're right something magic happen if you keep trying. I didn't give up, i've tried other otg cable hoping that i can flash to make it alive again and the last otg cable i have by pressing hard to the tablet connector the rkbatch tool automatically turn into green (flashable mode). I kept on holding it until it successfully flashed. I still have to look for a technician to check the connector on my tablet. Need an expert to open this tablet. But i'm glad that my tablet is back.. Thanks again....

I am rather new to the flashing of Android Tablet so this may be a stupid question. Can I revert to the stock ROM after flashing your RileyROM 1.3 by using the original flash tools provided by PIPO (RKbatchtool.exe) ? Do I need to do anything special compared to flashing the vendor's stock rom?
The problem I have with the Stock ROM is Skype. It crushs repeatedly when I try to run it.
Thanks.

Yes...you can always flash the stock firmware if you have any problems.
Good luck!!!

Hmmm, I wasn't aware whether multi-window was a feature on this ROM, or not.
Did it work with stock firmware?
If so, could you send me a ROM dump from one of your other U8's? Maybe Pipo is shipping an update that they haven't posted on their site. Or you might have access to that firmware somewhere else?????
This ROM is based on the ROM posted on the Pipo page:
BTW, I'm making some progress on that project you requested...I'm almost there, but it still isn't perfect yet.Randy

Very glad to see this Rom (without it I wouldnt consider buying the U8) but got a few Qs.
How much of the 16Gb memory is available to install apps (I am finding my SGS4 and other Android devices all very limited in capacity and SD cards are not any real help)? Is this customisable (I know Finless's RK3188 stick Roms allow you to select apps space with a choice of 3 or more) and if not, could that be in Rom 1.4 please?

That appears to be the question of the day.
Keep in mind that you must subtract the user app space from whatever NAND you have left over. So from 16gb, you use about 1gb for the system, and you need 3-4gb for your apps to put data and be able to download stuff.
I would say that 10gb would be the largest you can safely do without problems.
I would be happy to do a parameter file for that size. Maybe tonight.
