Latest Alfawise H96 Pro+ Android 7 stuck on Mobox screen

I just got this box from Gearbest and after an hour of use, it froze. When I went to reboot it got stuck in the Mobox screen.

I used a pin to reset to the device and I selected "wipe and reset" but it's still stuck in the Mobox screen. I left the box alone for several hours and it still won't boot past the Mobox screen.

Did I get a dud? I am a noob here. Any suggestions?

first , never heard about a Pro+ Box , do you mean the H96 Pro+ ??? , and why it shows a

"Mobox" Bootscreen , i think it must be a AML S912 Screen ???

This Box is at the Moment very popular , so many Fake sellers , first we must know , what

kind of PCB you have , the blue or green one , DDR3 or DDR4 and what Wifichip , but i think

that Supercelerons Rom shall work on your Box ???, you can find it here , sorry cant post the

I think I got the same problem alfawise H96 pro+ box w Aml s912 and q9337 and it's stuck at the mBox Logo... because I think I made the same mistake as I that to update the Super-User Binaries

but i think u can flash the Rom of Superceleron and he already use Magisk ,

but not sure with that , for sure a great Rom and Dev . Ever tried ???

If you guys can't help and link me to where I can download the firmware and reinstall, I guess I will have to return the box to the seller or I will have to request a credit card charge back.

This numbers says nothing about real variant of H96. You have to open to be sure, which one You have.

to know what PCB you have you have to look inside , but it looks like your Box works with the

Rom of Superceleron , you can download it from here on Freaktab under "Amilogic based TV

Players / S912 / Alfawise / Firmware-Roms , hope you know how to flash , otherwise ask ,

Thanks. My box has a green PCB. I don't know how to flash, but I seen the Android boot menu and I would prefer if I can flash from external USB drive without having to connect the box to a PC and scrounge around for a USB to USB cable.

I'm sorry....I'm a noob with these boxes. Can you provide more detailed instructions?

I can't see the small print on the PCB board. It's also upside down compared to yours and I can't see the otherside without breaking the enclosure. There are two screes holding the mobo but I am not about to remove them as I am not mechanically inclined.

Additionally:

What's SoC?

How to flash from SDcard?

What software and flash ROM?

If You don't open the Box, and don;t check it's variant, than You may brick it.

SoC is system-on-chip and it contains the most important parts of device - CPU, GPU, sometimes modem, etc.

I have the same problem, except my Alfawise H96 Pro+ 3/64 GB was crashing right out of the box with the same symptoms, I would plug it in it would display H96 Pro+ logo, than MBOX Logo than crash.
Sometimes it would crash on H96 Pro+ logo.
Sometimes the TV would say that there's no signal, and sometimes it would get as far as the "desktop" and crash straight away.

Basically wanted to ask the OP if flashing to supercelerons ROM has worked?

Also wonder if anyone else has seen this behavior?

And one more question, is flashing with SD Card the only way or can I do USB to USB, as I don't have the SD adapter at hand.
