Sry for the typo!
this one uses real android tv os and not android os(that is used on smartphones and tablets)
This one is also certified by netflix and can do netflix at 1080p, 4k and etc! While 95% of other android tv box's like the h96 max can only reach 480p on netflix, because they are not certified!
The only problem that i see with it, is that it lacks in the hardware! I wish xiaomi would release a more powerful version of this box with the android tv os on it!

Amazon Prime crashes because the firmware's permissions are so messed up and the manufacturer doesn't know what they are doing, still using March 2017 source code to build firmwares with recent dates instead of using the latest code with thousands of improvements done by Rockchip.
Widevine L3 will only fix cable streaming apps that require it.
Netflix SD runs without Widevine.
You need Widevine L1 and a Netflix agreement to watch in HD which they will only grant if you sell a certain million amount of tv boxes a year.
If your device properly supported Kodi 18 which the H96 doesn't then you could have run the Amazon Prime addon in HD in Kodi 18 after changing some settings if you live in the US, UK or Germany or use a VPN to those countries. Maybe it's still possible but everything will play at 60hz with a slight stutter every few minutes.

So, this why the level of the secure patch for android is also from april, even on the lasted firmwares? So, alfawise is just compiling new versions of their shit firmware with little changes, just to deceive us? That they are updating and improving their shit job?
What a joke! Anyway, i'm passing this bomb to another person! Since I've already announced, that i'm selling it here in my country!
Alfawise is a shit chinese manufacturer that did not improve at all, they just keep making shit products and software!

Hi Friends:
Sadly, using the latest Window driver (v4.5) and two firmware installers (v1.45e, v1.8), my result is always getting stuck at the initial H96 banner.
It does not progress after that. (._.)
This happens even though both firmware tools confirm success of the installation (in GREEN). I've tried both the UPGRADE and RESTORE options.
The image is: rk3399_7.1_new_H96max_P_A_E_1.5M648M_ear_180102
I tried this like six times now. I'm thinking I have a defective box. But somehow I doubt it.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

did you tried to reach Recovery and make a full wipe , maybe a older Rom (A6) will work , did you try
to use AT 2.35 ... /39 /42 , or BT 1.7 , did you "eraseFlash" before flashing ???
What does the log of the Tool say ???
greetings / gefattern

Yes, I can load the original Android 6.01 ROM and it works. From there, I UPGRADE to the latest 7.x ROM and it hangs on H96 MAX banner. I even went to RECOVERY mode and wiped the caches. It doesn't fix anything. Maybe I'll try what Cyclops said any wait a few hours.
Thanks for the reply.

It should NOT take that long. just a few seconds, but i had that problem with the problemupdate that came before the february update (the version number eludes me right now) i was mocking about with it, my friend called me over to help him fix a receiver and i just went over to him with the H96 on the screen, it was fully booted when i came back a few hours later. Happy accident :-)
