    Hi,

First off all, thanks for the great Rom
I just installed it without any issues
    But after i installed xbmc-20130403-6200f76-Gotham_alpha2_stagefright-armeabi-v7a
Xbmc isn't showing all of the text in the main windows
i used the same version on other roms without any problems, so i'm not sure if it's rom related or xbmc
    can anyone advice?

EDIT: i found the problem, it was XBMC...

CWM is easy to use. You can install an app from Google Play that reboots to recovery to flash it.

if you have a linux system you can try this with the 'system' folder extracted from the zip.
      Code:
      mkisofs -o /path/to/the/system/folder ~/system.iso
      dd if=~/system.iso of=~/system.img
      rm ~/system.iso
Use Finless Bob 1.7 rom(Android 4.1), unzip it and replace the system.img file in FinlessRom folder with the one you created above and flash normally. The data/app folder with the apps will not be installed, you will have to do that manually if you want those apps.
I thought the files in the zip was different img files, after looking I saw it was completely different. Another user also wanted to flash on Windows, so I found the solution above.
It's a bit complicated but I think that's the only way to make it work(not tested).

I saw that page before, but I overlooked the fact that there are multiple ways to install it.

I tried using Finless' flash tool to flash recovery-cwm.img as explained, but at first this did not work possibly because I was using MaximRy's ROM rather than Finless.

I decided to reflash Finless ROM, but replace the recovery.img file in the FinlessROM folder with the recovery.img from CWM.

This worked. It booted to CWM immediately and I flashed digitop's firmware .zip

Digitop's firmware seems very nice, but I now get this error when attempting to download a file from the web:

"No SD Card - an sd card is required to download..."

Thoroughly confused now, because I've never seen this error before on lewy's, finless' or MaximRy's ROMs.

There is plenty of room left on the device, it's freshly flashed. I tried inserting an SD Card and I still get the same error.

The SD Card slot is definitely working, because I can explore it's files using ES File Explorer.

NAND FLASH appears empty in settings, and attempting to mount it returns the error "damaged storage"

Edit: Well, a notification came up in the lower right corner saying that storage device was damaged, and it prompted me to reformat, so I did that, and now NAND space shows up as ~5GB free space and it's allowing me to save files from the web to it I am very happy now.

That is an old version of the APK, I think. New info from http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=152005 --->

After months, the libstagefright code has finally been merged into the main tree.
As such, from tomorrow on, all android nightly builds will be libstagefright-enabled and this thread is now obsolete.
Here is where you can get the nightly builds for android: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/android/

I've encountered that error before on other devices
it seems that "dirty flashing" (flash through CWM) sometimes damages internal memory

about the XBMC i've also figured that out
but now i can't find a version that works (latest nightlies have the common cache plugin crash, earlier nightlies have other errors)
Does anyone else have a problem with scrambled low quality (sd) movies and crashing of the whole system after a few seconds?
In short: which is the most stable and useable version?
I mainly want to use it for streaming from the web. I play local files on MX player

            L.

This bulild seems to work quite well for most people:nhttp://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/...rmeabi-v7a.apk
About the scrambled movies: try to toggle through the display modes (stretch/zoom etc.).

Sorry for recommending the nightly build... I can confirm that it crashes frequently when using Navi-X add-on. A few months ago I had XBMC and it didn't crash.

Here is a good thread which explains how to get the best XBMC experience possible: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ers-read-this)

Cool, the developer of the rom created a new one based on MiniX Neo G4. It gets an Antutu score of 12569. Get downloading guys!!

                      1. Can you look if its possible to create a rom from crewrktablets's CM10.1 Odys Genio Alpha 3 RK3066.
The rom works on MK808/MK808B, you just need to flash a MK808B kernel then wifi works. The tablet also uses RK903 wifi, but bluetooth is not working on MK808B. It looks great especially the drop down notifications that can be hidden(email messages, app notifications etc.) that is usually in the bottom right corner of the screen on the status bar.

                      2. Is it possible to create an overclocked kernel for MK808B from source code posted below like 2Dark4u kernel for MK808?

                      Link to download

                      Improvements needed

Tonight I discovered that my 1080i TV will not display CWM Recovery. I've had to hook the device up to a 1080p TV both times to use CWM.

Thank you. I just flashed this to my MK808B.

I've updated the post with another MK808B rom that can be flashed with CWM for people that want to test it.
Can anyone confirm that they are indeed installed?
And if not, how to manually install them?

Download the new MK808B_digitopMod_MINIX_NEO-G4_port(0730)_Sep2013 (14.09.2013) rom from post #54, Then go to post #2687. Download links are on deposifiles and you have to use CWM to flash the rom.
The rom gets an Antutu score of 12569, the fastest yet. It includes the latest libstagefright files for Android 4.1.
I can't seem to update the first post to put a link to the new rom there.

I've got it, but the file size is 5.86K and the attachment limit here is 5.05K. So here is a link:

After you download the file, rename to "update.zip", copy the file to an SD card formatted to fat32, stick it in the MK808b while it is running normally, you will get a message that "an update is available, do you want to install it" or something like that, click on yes, it will reboot a couple of times, maybe once, and then will boot into CWM. At that point I would make a NAND backup before doing anything else. Then I would reboot to system, make sure everything is happy, then use your choice of reboot apps to boot into recovery, or do the button-power cable thing.
