I would recommend you to download the second rom as it's newer and just replace the kernel.

The Mk808 might have trouble downloading from file hosting websites if you don't use the correct browsers.
It downloads perfect from a Windows PC.

Download Minix Neo X5 rom from their website and use this to root.

Flash a MK808 kernel afterwards or use wendal tools to unpack the rom and replace the kernel.

I recommend the MK808B_digitopMod_v2.1_WALKMAN rom as it's the fastest and newest.
The 'UPDATE' rom is better than the 'http://sendfile.su/857811 (For MK808, 720p kernel)' rom as it only requires one flash without replacing the kernel and some apps are different and it's a bit more stable.

I'm also experimenting with a CyanogenMod 10 rom for this device and if I get it working, I'll post it here.

Ok, I have downloaded that one. I now have a question about flashing it. I don't have CWM installed. How do I flash the rom without having to install CWM? I cannot load the .zip into RKBatchTool. I can of course extract the .zip, but not sure what to do with the files/folders.

For now I will flash maximry's since I do know how to flash the .img

I can make an overclock kernel for MK808 but it's not going to be better than 2Dark4U.
2Dark4U is already heavy overclocked - kernel_MK808_720_GPU433_1416_RAM1160_VZ
You can install Setcpu to overclock the CPU up to 1.6Ghz if you have a heatsink or extra cooling.

I did the steps to install CWM (formatted 2GB microsd to FAT32 and copied update.zip to it), but I never got the prompt to install the update. To be honest, I don't believe I've tested the MicroSD card slot on my device, so it could possibly be broken.

I did have an extra cooling and 2 fans. Alex (2dark4u) was talking about a kernel with cpu at 1.6 gpu at 500 mhz and ram at 1.2.....he did also a benchmark, with 13000 points.

I have already set cpu installed but the maximum frequencies is 1.4.

I am on finless 1.7 c + 2dark4u 1.4

I was just hopping that someone can finish alex work.

You can also unzip this rom on a pc and flash it with the regular tools.
#Post 15 also contain MK808 kernels that you can use with this rom if you want to flash it to a MK808 instead of MK808B.

How can I flash it with "regular tool" ?(i believe you mean bob's tool or RKtool).
