I've looked at the files again and don't see an easy way to flash it without CWM, sorry.

Hm, that is interesting. Well, I am using maximry's ROM now. I would like to try digitop's, though.


I did the steps to install CWM (formatted 2GB microsd to FAT32 and copied update.zip to it), but I never got the prompt to install the update. To be honest, I don't believe I've tested the MicroSD card slot on my device, so it could possibly be broken.

Ok, I have downloaded that one. I now have a question about flashing it. I don't have CWM installed. How do I flash the rom without having to install CWM? I cannot load the .zip into RKBatchTool. I can of course extract the .zip, but not sure what to do with the files/folders.

Mo123 can you make an overclock kernel for the Mk808....we are stuck at 2dark4u 1.4(even he promised an overclock kernel 6 months ago).

I can make an overclock kernel for MK808 but it's not going to be better than 2Dark4U.
2Dark4U is already heavy overclocked - kernel_MK808_720_GPU433_1416_RAM1160_VZ
You can install Setcpu to overclock the CPU up to 1.6Ghz if you have a heatsink or extra cooling.

Install this ROM ( MK808B_X5_MaximRy_1.0) and it works wonderfully, the better?, or clears worth and to urge the MK808B_digitopMod_v2.1_WALKMAN?

I recommend the MK808B_digitopMod_v2.1_WALKMAN rom as it's the fastest and newest.
The 'UPDATE' rom is better than the 'http://sendfile.su/857811 (For MK808, 720p kernel)' rom as it only requires one flash without replacing the kernel and some apps are different and it's a bit more stable.

I'm also experimenting with a CyanogenMod 10 rom for this device and if I get it working, I'll post it here.

Is possible get clear rooted minix rom for mk808 ?

Download Minix Neo X5 rom from their website and use this to root.

Flash a MK808 kernel afterwards or use wendal tools to unpack the rom and replace the kernel.

Click on the first blue button and then the link underneath it.
The second rom - http://depositfiles.com/files/cmr04x414 Click on regular download and enter the captcha, use your browser's download manager not a 3rd party one.

I would recommend you to download the second rom as it's newer and just replace the kernel.

The Mk808 might have trouble downloading from file hosting websites if you don't use the correct browsers.
It downloads perfect from a Windows PC.

i would like to replace my sdcard by an usb disk; i tried finless method, but even ith my change i just loose my sdcard with only 00kb space and my usb disk isnt the dafault sdcard?

1. You can use http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-cle...u-dont-use-si/ or
2. Use Root Explorer in Es File Manager, Mount devices RW instead of just readable, then go to system/apps(something like that) and delete the apps, make sure 'show hidden files' is also enabled in ESF settings. Remember to change folder permissions back to read-only.
