I have this remote but not install this fix yet. How do I set permission? Also with my remote, power off button doesn't work, will this file fix power off button??

How are you figuring out the keycodes? I have a similar remote and want to map the buttons.

Power off sends ir code so it won't work.

First off, I have to say that I've been using the old Mele F10 for more than a year and I am VERY happy with it.
Now I've bought a second androidtv and I decided to buy the following model, Mele F10 PRO instead of the latest one, the DELUXE one (I'd rather have audio output/input in my remote than being able to have all-in-one remote... bad decision )

Some few things that disappointing me of this PRO version compared to my old one:
1- If you right click at any moment, the cursor gets stuck/frozen for a second, if you click while you are moving, you are going to have a bad response.
2- very few buttons are remappeable (I have like 4 or 5 less buttons to remap), the phone call/hang, mouse, game modes etc...
3- Every time you connect the usb dongle, then android audio output is automatically set to the remote device, in other words, you have to manually change in the settings the audio output if you want to have audio coming from your tv.
4- I have paid almost 10$ extra for this crap.

The pros:
1- if you are a gamer, the game mode can be useful, I don't know if it's actually any worth since I don't play games.
2- having the chance to use a headset connected to the remote is great (skype/hangouts/watching movies at night without bothering anyone...)

This works however it breaks the cap's lock key...

Just one thing, this patch will stop the cap's lock key from working. This can be fixed by changing key 58 from shift_left to caps_lock
I can upload for anyone having the same problem. (But it's very easy to edit the file above).
I got my f10 pro today but I will soon try and see about game and sound issues. I have disabled the output only in system/etc/audio_policy.conf this might help as i would like the microphone to work but not the speak.
If i do get this working it won't be with the button.
The game control should be possible. I will post back in a week or so when I know more.

The pro is good but the deluxe is better because of the programable ir buttons. The process to patch the keys is the same and you won't have to fix audio problems that you get with the pro.

This worked for my F10 Pro and an Android Tv stick. Is it possible to remapp some of the disabled buttons. So maybe sound swap could play/pause or something. Also, if I edit the file, do I need to follow a certain order again? Or can I edit and reboot? Thanks.

Any chance this file also works for Mele F10 (not Pro), or will there be development for that? Mele is such a great remote but very frustrating using at times because buttons are not mapped properly. Very little support on net for Mele keymapping, or can someone point me in the right direction?

the file can be used for any of the mele f10 models.
It may need to be modified to suit model.
They keys can be in any order.
you can reassign any key as long as you use the right key names.
