Can anyone confirm or clear up this:

If I have an dtb taken from Android MARSHMALLOW or NOUGAT image with working remote, is it possible to use this one for OREO then?

Or is it going to brick my box?

01520717 : could you kindly be more detailed on howto do this:

The DTB has the remote definition in it. You'd have to take the remote.conf for your box and add those definitions into the DTB to get your remote working.

i use Customization Tools (CT) from set of software AMLogicTools and file provided by 01520717 from this post
After unpack firmware in CT you will get a folder with unpacked firmware. In this folder find file _aml_dtb.PARTITION and replaced it with file from post.
After this pack fiirmware back via CT and flash it via USB Burning Tool

hello! I think soldiaz says that he flashed your firmware and device don't boot peoperly. He can't go to next step to flash twrp. I have same story with my X96 1+8gb. Maybe you have vanilla v28 for USB Burning Tool ?

upd. I've solve the problem. Install img on my x96 1+8gb device.
I can upload my moded img for owners with 1gb devices if lewy20041 allow.

It is TWRP flashable only? So, boot into TWRP from option 2 (renameing to recovery.img) and then flash?

zip only contains boot.img, so how about bootloader and stuff?

After installing it, go to twrp .And there clean wipe data ,system ,cache , dalwik .Then in twrp install zip file firmware

After reboot into the system.From and all.

You have boxing with 1 gb memory.You only fit vanila v28 .
