    Possessed Android H96 Pro Plus

    Hello I am new here - so hey everyone!
    So we have a H96 Pro Plus android box that for some reason turns the Wi-Fi off all by itself - possessed yikes! I did a firmware update to change to 7.1 nougat and now the wi-fi won't stay connected. I used an ethernet cable to connect to internet for now.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    thank you!

    Hi and welkom to freaktab

    let's troubleshoot,

    First look at the router log..to rule out:
    *most common problems: android changes Mac address or two devices with same Mac on network = router sees this as hack attack then drops connection

    2: check Mac address of your device : is it 02:00:00?
    as this is also a common issue with nougat

    3:Install "logcat" app.. to see what android is doing
    like this:
    Here's how to use logcat: There are two main ways to do a logcat, within android, and through adb. Logcat within android can be done one of two ways, through a Logcat app: Here are two good examples are either: aLogcat or Catlog I prefer...

    goodluck

      router = as in your WiFi hotspot router/device (example: netgear/Linksys/xiaomi/draytek/fritzbox )
      It should have a log inside web admin ;
      look for : invalid Mac address : dropping connection

      Mac address android : settings/device (or tabled or phone) /status

      Cheers
