      @rrileypm

      Thx for the 1.5.
      short check.
      I found one problem.
Put the auto brightness on. Screen goes off. Only chance is blindly hit the brightness button or flash again.

      Thanks

I guess we can just flash the system.img and avoid wiping out apps
I tried that (both buttons power up) and I got a lying down android with an exclamation mark in a pink triangle. And if i left it long enough, it just reboots.

        Thanks.

That means you have not flashed the cwm recovery yet.
Please check the rom folder,u will see the files named cwmrecovery.img&recovery.img.
Rename the recovery.img into another name and the cwmrecovery.img into recovery.img, and then flash the recovery only.

Thanks to Freaktab user winson10939 we have an updated firmware for the M7 Pro
                .

The change log says they have fixed freezing issues when wifi has been running for a long time. They have also added SMS support. Although they have added OTA update support, I have deleted the Rockchip Update app because I have reports of bugs (you don't need that feature anyway if you are flashing a custom ROM).

                This ROM is:

                Rooted
                Debloated
                Expanded Ext4 system.img
                Init.d support
                Busybox support
Return to SuperSU as the Superuser app
                Performance tweaks
                Media Streaming tweaks
                Wifi net speed tweaks
                tun.ko added for VPN support

                Boot animations by Tattman65
                Flashtool by Finless
                Reboot app by Petrus
First Time User's Guide by Pr0xZen

                Edit:

After some extensive testing, I found that rooting causes the Pipo Launcher to not launch. Everything I tried to get this app running failed, so I had to remove it from the ROM, sorry to those who requested that I keep it. So this ROM is debloated as usual. I did increase the system.img size, so you can add apps to the system on your own without worrying about running out of space.

Also after some testing, I'm happy to say that I got 18986 on the Antutu Benchmark...the highest I've seen, so far.

                Here is the download link:

                Download

                Enjoy!!!!!!

Hello, is that the final, or we waiting for a new one?

Also, is there an info of how often we have a new rom available? Are they making a new update each a week for example or twice per month? Ty

                  Pipo M7 Pro RileyROM 1.5

Typically every time Pipo releases a new tablet, you will see a lot of activity of firmware releases until there is a stable release. So far, releases for the M7 Pro break more than they are fixing...hahaha.

I didn't have time, yesterday, to even sit down in front of a computer. I do have a new firmware to cook a ROM with. Watch for it tonight.

It will be 1.6...since it is based on an official release.

I'm uploading a beta version of RileyROM 1.6.

This is based on a firmware released on 9/7/2013.

I haven't debloated it yet because I was trying to get the Pipo Launcher to work...and it does this time.

What you have to do is on first boot when it asks you to activate everything touch the "activate now" button and set up your wifi. Then reboot by pressing the power button until you get the reboot prompt. Then when the device reboots and connects to your wifi it will automatically activate everything. Don't worry...it will take a long time. When it finishes you will have a choice of which launcher you want to use.

I'm not too impressed with it myself, so I will debloat everything for the official release on a new thread...but I thought I would share it with you and you can decide for yourself.

The final ROM will be pretty much the same, but all of the extra Pipo apps will be removed.

Here is the download to RileyROM 1.6 Beta:

Is anyone experiencing touch issue on their Pipo M7 Pro? Not sure whether this is a Pipo firmware bug or a hardware issue on my unit. I downloaded a touch test software and tested on my M7 pro. There seems to be a vertical line that the touch will have no response. Swiping my finger across the screen, the touch will break each time i cross this vertical line. The touch always break on this same vertical line with the original stock firmware, as well as RileyROM 1.2 and 1.3. With RileyROM 1.6, my touch is breaking on the same vertical line, as well as on an additional vertical line.

How far up is the line? I'll try it on mine.
