CX-818 - keeps changing MAC address on ETH

    Guys, I need some help.
About two months ago I got my CX-818 android box (just google it up and you'll find the specs).
Anyway, the problem is that the box keeps changing the MAC address on ETH each time I reboot it. With WLAN everything is OK.

Further to the matter, it simply wan't accept static IP. It just doesn't accept it. I type in the address, netmask, gw, dns1 and dns2. But as soon as I exit menu, it returns to DHCP assigned.

I tried with the original firmware, latest update and also XTV01 (haven't tried yet with NEOTV but I expect the same).

Is there any way this can be fixed?

I need either a fixed MAC address or a static IP in order to do NAT in my router. So ... HELP!

    Tnx and regards to all!

    Use static IP x

      Tnx for a reply Marc.

Yap! Everything is the same, with a difference that after the right-click it doesn't ask me anything. It just pops me out and the IP stays DHCP assigned. I will try to flash it once again to see if anything changes. I will also give a shot to NEOTV 1.0.

On the matter of your NOTE: the same is with mine CX-818 as well. But it doesn't bother me much. I have ETH at my TV, so I do not need WiFi (the signal level is low anyway).

      Regards!

" I have ETH at my TV " ? You connect directly your CX818 at the TV on the ETH port ? Try whith a routeur or adslbox.

I didn't express myself well. I have an ETH port on the wall, near the TV. It's a home LAN network connected to a router. Having this, WiFi comes as ... well, excessive.

          Tnx anyway and regards!

            Ok.

I change my static IP and when I use the right click on a mouse, I have a popup :

            Important
            Whether save Settings ?
            Cancel ok

I made whith bad parameter and this popup come out.

When you flash the CX 818 , did you use the restore button?

            A+

Regardless left click or right click it just pops me straight out and IP stays DHCP assigned.
When typing wrong parameters I also get notification, but it's in the bottom of the same window where I'm supposed to type in the parameters. I never get Save settings or any popup whatsoever.

I suppose that you use the checkbox of the line Use static IP, so I don't know why you don't have the popup.
