you should read then v3 doent like the ram oc bootloader so you have to flash the stock bootloader version

even though its posted here multiple times
and there's a folder called "Use only shmod-k4-stockbl on v3 (ddr4 doesnt like the mod bootloader)"
people keep flashing it to v3's

i have renamed the files now to (v2.2 only) on files with the mod bootloader

I installed the stock bootloader. It won't boot anymore, even with sdcard plus reset button pressed. I had to use the usb burning method to revive it with erase all option activated.

I recently bought H96 pro+ from Aliexpress, it has 2(16)gb version and hs2734a chipset, while updating the #su I bricked my device, I tried evey possible rom to flash but nothing works, the only rom that flash (aml_7.1_s912_q9377-H96PRO_KDMC_mac-20170811) but it has the wifi drop issue which cant be rectified by deleting the root files as it doesnt have those files, when I contact the seller he provide me another rom (h96pro.H96PRO+_2G(16)_HS2734A_1000M_7.1.2018.04.0 4.12.55), after successful burn through USB burning toll the box didnt respont as it shows the blank screen, I have tried your rom too (h96pro.H96PRO+_2G(16)_HS2734A_1000M_7.1.2018.04.1 0.20.38) on that mega account but it cant get burned stuck at 95%, plz suggest me what to do next will these above roms could flash? plz reply.

I installed stockbootloader version of this ROM few moments ago, as I tried to solve the exact same problem I had on stock ROM version (20180409), but to now avail. My problem is as follows: KODI 18 development builds always crash on startup. The first time I run KODI everything is OK, but after I exit and try to run it again it crashes imidiately (without any error message). This happens only if I try to run KODI by clicking on icon in apps menu. It doesnt matter if I restart, power-off device, the crash always occurs. Interestingly, if I run KODI by going to settings/Apps/KODI/open it works normally. The error occurs only on development builds, 17.6 runs normally from icon in apps menu.

Does anyone face the same issue as I? Any suggestions on how to fix this rather benign but nevertheless anoying issue?

Use KODi 18 Alpha 1.
if you really want to use kodi leia.
The problem is known in versions above Alpha1so at Alpha 2 & 3.
I also recommend you to use the snapshots not the nightlys

it may well be that you specific h96 pro+ didnt like the ddr4 clock speed bump and some people will be fine
or it may be that all ddr4 model's dont like it

No, the DDR4 support is simply disabled in this version and it has nothing to do with speed bump. DDR4 is a lot better, runs to 1008Mhz.

I'm trying to load the aml_7.1.2_s912_q9377-H96PROPLUS_mac-20180409_shmod-k4-stockbl (v2.2 + v3).7z firmware, and I get an error zip file is invalid format. Any ideas?

PS I previously bricked my H96 Pro+ as it was not working properly out of the box (I think original firmware was incompatible with DDR4), I managed to unbrick by shorting pins. Now it doesn't connect to the USB burning tool, but rather boots to TWRP, from there I can install an image - I did it with one image but that is still flakey, then I found your image which sounds like what I need, but having trouble installing.
