    completed install notes

after completing install, and tuning system. antutu score is 12330. not bad from the initial install score of 7xxx. oc'd the processor using antutu processor app. i didnt heavily overclock or tune system that much. im sure someone will get a better benchmark score. running xbmc, streaming icefilms & 1channel is great, even 720 hd files stream good. shutdown button works. wifi is @ 65mbps. bluetooth works great. system is stable. running smooth. gets hot like other mk stick models. could stand to have some cooling. i reccommend a thermaltake usb powered 80mm fan with rheostat. it works really well and is quiet on a low speed setting. i picked off the little stand and used superglue to mount the fan to the mk808b case. plug it into your usb powered hub/tv usb port (do not power fan from the stick). you can find here:

nice hardware upgrade compared to my original mk808.

      Hi,

I also flashed the mentioned new Rikomagic fw this morning.

I can confirm wifi working fine, and the firmware as such working fine as well.

However, I have an issue: I cannot shut down the stick properly from the shutdown function.
When I do it, it seems to shut down but the power LED keeps on after it.
And then the stick behaves really weird and I need 20 or 30 trials to remove power and put it back to make it properly booting again.

Is it the same for you?

      Thanks
      Andi

yeah the shutdown feature is non functional. mine just says shutting down continuously and never does. so i just unplug it and plug it back in. i have not experienced any boot problems. it boots fast, and i mean 10 seconds fast. maybe you got a lousy rom flash? which flash tool did you use?

          Thomas,

thanks for your answer. It was most likely a hardware fault meanwhile. I sent the device back and got full funding.

Now the question is (maybe wrong thread here) - I want to go for an original Rikomagic device now. Which one is the recommended best one these days?

          Thanks
