Two questions... You, or anyone knows the wifi chip used on the n6?
If the bootloader Was Updated... It is Only corrected by pc flashing? No OTA will work?

Things were going so well, I let this one slip by me.

well I do not know what WiFi Chip used;but its definitely way better then H96 Max and X99 (I'v been used
this two devices in the past)

But I use always Ethernet and also result again way better then H96 Max and X99 !!

For WiFi OTA Upgrading;nobody knows whats happen!
well for me its not important OTA,just I need a proper/Bug fixed firmware!

Hey Clark;open a Ticket(GearBest) and send back and get it full refund

They will accept!
Also GB give you a permission in order to cancel/full refund/return etc.,
they offered me as same! But due to my Custom Regulation that I cant send it
back my Device! and I'v been dealed with GB and got it $ 50 partly-refund
($ 109-$ 50= so my prime cost $ 59 and device stayed with me)

Also, GB is stalling for time to reply with real support.
I cannot get an OTA from M-see yet either.
They asked me to confirm my initial noBoot problem.
.. I thought I was very clear, Not just asking for newest "upgrade".

I am guessing because a change at the binary Will Not be erased by a wipe. Is that correct?

If so, I am locked down (and out)
... Until help arrives from GB or Msee in the form of a (in my case) a OTA Update ?

Android 8.1 firmware update will released after chinese new year

Android 8 has most of the same bugs as Android 7.
So not sure what they will fix.
Most things were only fixed in Android 9.

SuperSU updates are locked , or similar , now you know it , flash new , &

a Factory wipe , max 10min ,

OKAY! After a promising start I had a screw around and let to su binary update. Big bootloop plague

Gave up and factory wiped... But, now looks good until final animated Magicsee splash After that nothing progresses.

Does that factory reboot take longer?

By the way .. I strongly disagree with you Mr bergamesk.
The n6 IS NOT junk. If fact it shows a Lot of Potential.

It will Never get any attention here,
Largely because of running it down, into the ground... Over and over.. Think about it..
Think about other owners that want to see some de-bugging and development of the n6.

O' Contrary to what others may now think ...

I find:

Excellent finish and i/o port fitment
Speed and cool running
Best factory remote tracking of ANY of my past boxes.
Recovery system is better and faster than any I've used.
(they Still need a file management system within tho)

... Their are Many More Strong Points built to This rk3399.
I will have to keep a written list, when I fully recover,
So that I can relay them to you all more completely.

Fear Not. My experience is rough at times , but Pretty Good.
Just like Life..
The SU will be corrected, and the ROM will be stabilized.

Now if we can still get it optimized.! ?
... F, I may have to go 4DPA to get the eventual help.

-well I got refund fm GB $ 50 and probably in near future I'll sale this Box(local market)

note;in fact I'll wait FW fm MagicSEE and probably they will release! so willing to wait last FW

-By the way this shity device came to me with 20181123;they just fixed Google Account Login issue!
than flashed to 20181217(their latest FW) some Bugs fixed OK(but a few!)

note;"Remote unit" sensitive very bad! even with latest FW then worst it gets more slow!
so,you need Air-Mouse type Remote!

Before I'v used H96 Max(RK3399) about 1 month,didnt like it!
After H96,used X99(6,5months),well its a little better than H96! but didnt like to too!
but Air-Mouse so good
Now using N6 Max and "No Coment" bad bad bad
