Here's an initial build of TWRP 3.2.3-0 for the Amlogic u211 reference board: twrp.u211-3.2.3-0.img
For your convenience, I've also created a signed OTA update that can be installed with the UPDATE app: twrp.u211-3.2.3-0-signed.zip

It's built with the twrp-8.1 minimum OMNI branch and is using a prebuilt GT1 Mini kernel. I've copied source up to the new twrp-8.1 branch in the Amlogic repository for this along with updates for the q201 and p212 reference hardware.

sorry guyz, I am not much into Android. Could you tell me step by step how to flash this latest firmware? I tried that but I think it ended with access denied or something. Probably I miss something. tried that via local update. Thank you in advance.

strange......... I don't think it is the remote, just the firmware. The assistant does not hear me, but using the voice on my cellular phone, she hears me.... I have run into this before on other boxes.......

Something similar happens to me with the voice assistant. In the attic works without problems. If I put it down in the living room, the voice assistant does not work. It's as if I made interferences with something. I purchased the nVidia Shield and it works on both sites. With the KM9 they have deceived us. I'm talking to Gearbest to return it. I was told in the chat that I was licensed by Google and Netflix and it's a lie

I think you're missing a digit in that datestamp. I can only guess what changes the OEM has made, but Mecool ironically doesn't serve OTA updates online. Ok, now my remote stopped working again. I even did a complete reset of the box, but did not help. It works sometimes with a reboot, but mostly it doesn't work. Do you have any issues with your remote???

Do you have an AVR for surround sound? Do you have your own media, like movies and TV shows? Do you have a NAS for your media storage?

All my media, movies and TV shows are scattered around my network on NAS's and External HDD connected to my Asus router. My boxes are connected via HDMI cable to my Yamaha AVR then to my Samsung 4k (UHD) TV. I use Emby as my primary media player software, now instead of Kodi. I also use Plex occasionally. Most of my movies are DVD rips that have Dolby Digital and DTS sound tracks, which this box will play in Kodi, but NOT in Emby or Plex.

I have 2 actual 4k movies, and only my Nvidia Shield and Zidoo X9S will play those movies and both devices does automatic frame rate adjustment, and passes through the HD audio.. This box will play the 4k movies using Kodi, but not frame rate adjustment and NO HD audio.

So, the WiFi problem seems to be cured when reverting from sparse to normal Ext4 images, indicating that the problem is with file permissions created using make_ext4fs. I'll probably need to make some tweaks to the file_contexts, but until then I've made the normal version of OPM1.171019.011 V0828.20181122 available again here: http://freaktab.org/bc7c6c5797215526
