MK908 NEW stock ROM 27.09.2013 [updated - OC kernels]

I've just noticed Tronsmart released new stock rom for MK908 V1 and V3.

Has anyone tried it? Is it 1080p or 720p? I can't check it by myself right now.

    regards

    EDIT:

Thanks to phjanderson scripts, I've made OC kernels from latest stock ROM. You can find them here:

    https://drive.google.com/folderview?...2s&usp=sharing

There are two packs. Each of them contains original kernel + bunch of OCed. In one zip are IMG intended to flash with RKAndroidTool. Another one, as you can guess contains ClockWorkMod flashable zips.

I tried only CWM_MK908_13.09.27_kernel_vsfsam_cpu1800h_gpu600_d dr800, it's not stable with my V3, but is soooo smooth . Maybe some of you will be more lucky

Kernel should work with V1 and V3.

Kernel is 1080p, but you can switch resolution by changing:
    video.use.overlay=(0 is 1080p, 1 is 720p) in build.prop.

    EDIT 10-06-2013:

    More info

New set of kernels, without vsync patch (CPU is not loaded by fb-vsync process anymore), and with full range of CPU speed steps. IMO it's better to use those:

    MK908 v1/v3 OC kernels:
    1080p: http://www.multiupload.nl/MUU279NAOH
    720p: http://www.multiupload.nl/JTSSB0PKS6

and for dessert working CWM recovery with latest kernel from tronsmart:

    enjoy

I am testing it about one hour. It is stable, no startups (i have V3), wifi connection seems to be stable and only 720p. But ajar on my other post, it is the firmware that works!

              Video stutter??

How about video stutter? Is playback and online streaming smooth and not jerky? HD720 is fine for me as long as it is smooth. I can't flash this until next week. Thanks for replies.

                nice update

Wow I just flashed this rom and I can say it's very smooth and stable on my V3.
I tried all others roms and had problems. I tried 720p and 1080p video streaming from my nas and haven't had any issue so far.
                No issue with wifi here.

Video stutter: same as before. Not usable. Tronsmart please try to look Birds toons. I hope you have enough time to watch them. They last on your stick 100 times longer as they should.

Can anyone please check if this update has cifs modules compiled in?
                    (cifs.ko file under /system/lib/modules)

                    Thanks

I tested wlan yet about 1 hour from my bedroom, ~10 meters from my router and through 3 walls. No any problems.

No, there is no cifs.ko in /system/lib/modules.

Cifs is working fine, no need to load module, it is built in.
