Looking at Pipo's site there are two versions.

The first is in chinese but the second is more recent.

Which one can I use ?
I also ordered my M6pro 3G, and I want to try a stock rom first, and then the one of rrileypm with the new kernel. I think for the stock one, we have to take the second one (OTA) except if you are able to handle the chinese language .

I have also a question, if I decide to flash the rrileypm's ROM (1.3a), can I flash by using this way -> http://www.pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=Co...&id=248&type=3 OR should I use another method ?

I don't know so much about it, it will be my first tablet...

      GPS tips

      Three observations:

      1. I find that GPS performance is much better if the tablet is orientated in portrait mode with the hardware buttons/USB slot etc. at the bottom. I believe that this places the internal GPS antenna at the optimum position at the top of the tablet.
      2. GPS appears to be improved with the latest official Pipo ROM M6pro_OTA_1.1.2_update_20131204.img. This may be my imagination though!
      3. GPS appears to improve with continued use. When I first got my M6 Pro, it took ages to find satellites and even longer to 'lock on' to them. Now it seems to be much quicker.

However, it's still not perfect, and GPS performance on my Nexus 7 [2012 version] remains better, but the M6 Pro has, in my opinion, now improved from 'next to useless' to 'functional' by following the above 3 tips. For example, indoors, the M6 Pro finds 8 to 10 satellites and locks onto 3 to 5. By comparison, my Nexus 7 finds 11 to 13 satellites and locks on to 9 to 11 of them. Oddly, the SNR (signal to noise ratio) is similar on both tablets. As a consequence of its better GPS performance, navigation accuracy on the Nexus 7 is much better and in car use in built up areas is streets ahead [excuse the pun!].

Now, I need to find a way of improving 3G performance in weak signal areas and I will be happy. Any suggestions??

Change the coaxial cable with a low loss one between the motherboard and the antenna. This is the very best you can do!

Do you have a link to a 'how to' for this mod?

I use copilot on my m6 pro and it works a treat.
