I really like the iPazzport kp-810-16 with the x7, because it has IR leaning so I can map the keys from the stock remote to the iPazzport (airmouse/keyboard). The IR learning feature has to modes so I can use one for my tv (keys mapped in TV mode: ch+, ch-, vol+, vol-,menu, input, power) and the other one for my x7 (keys mapped in AV mode: up, down, right, left, home, menu, power). here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/iPazzPort-2-4G...ords=ipazzport. hope this helps.

i've also just ordered my X7, and would like to know if the MELE F10 PRO is the best airmouse/keyboard recommended for the Minix Neo X7?

if you are thinking about the mele f10 pro i'd say the minix a2 is better. They both have IR features like power, but the keys that use IR can't be mapped to do whatever you want (or mapped to do what they are supposed to do) so the IR buttons like power only work with specific devices (minix a2 with minix devices and mele f10 pro with mele devices).

I got the kit from geekbuying that comes with the TSM-01 and I don't like it. I've already complained in another thread so i won't go into details, but basically it just feels cheap, doesn't really fit the hand, keyboard has weird feedback. Just call this a non-recommendation.

I got my X7 with the TSM-01. I just ordered the one that was in the review video on Geekbuying. I'm not really happy with it. It seems like there are some serious lag issues. When I got my box, I flashed the Finless 1.6 ROM no problem. The included remote worked, but is too limited to be effective. So I plug the TSM-01 in and start to navigate around. The mouse pointer works OK. Took a bit of getting used to. But what I noticed was that when I clicked on anything, there was a 5-7 SECOND lag before it actually sent the command. I would click on something, then think I hadn't clicked the right spot, then clicked again and again, then it would do three clicks in a row and launch something it wasn't supposed to because the pointer had moved.

At first I thought there was something wrong with the ROM. So I started to troubleshoot. Reboot. Reflash. Checked the forums. Saw an item about using a USB extender to get the dongle away from the box. Same problem. I was going to flash back to a stock ROM, when I decided to plug in a wired mouse. Bam. Works perfectly. So now I have to find another model that will work with this thing. I can't start using it to replace my Boxee Box without making this work or my wife will kill me.

yea i dont wanna hijack this guys thread, but same issue on mine, except i get 10-20 seconds of lag.

So to stay on topic I'd prolly go with the A2 if i could do over, i just don't need a mic/speaker, but i could see it as a plus for people who would use it.

I've bought the Minix Neo A2 as a replacement for the TSM-01.
I'll report back when I receive it.

If it works, the lesson might be to stick with the same brand if you want to be sure about compatibility. Thats what it sounds like in the Finless 1.6 thread too.

Agreed, I first bought the Mele F10 pro but hated that some keys didn't work and couldn't be mapped. Very happy with my A2 now

I can confirm that the A2 works with X7, however it got some calibration issues and the battery life is terrible. I can recommend the RKRemoteControl App (http://www.minix.com.hk/Apps.htm) it does not have the airmouse function (only works like a touchpad) but if you have any other android device (phone or tablet) you can use it including the gyroscopic function and the power button. You can map keys as well so you can play touch only games with that.
As a backup I have a keyboard / mouse combo (Microsoft Wireless 800) and for navigation only the PS3 controller works as well.

A2 works well for me, battery is really bad though. I've bought 4 rechargeables for it, 2 to use at a time so problem solved.

I've just got my Minix A2. It works well. Not without its faults, but since the stock remote, the Tronsmart TSM-01 remote and RK Remote app all left much to be desired, its is a huge improvement and I can finally start using my X7 in the living room.

                        Minix A2

                        Pros:
-Airmouse function actually works with the X7
-Custom Buttons on the top for Android functions are really handy
                        -Keyboard is OK
-Looks nice and feels good in your hand. (I mention it because the Tronsmart TSM-01 is ugly and square and awkward to hold.)
-Working power button, so I don't need to use the stock remote for anything anymore
-Speaker and microphone built in to the remote

                        Cons:
-I see there is a little spot on the side where a headphone jack should be. It even has an icon of an android guy wearing headphones. But there is no headphone jack. Other remotes have this. And it would be pretty handy. I have two TVs in the living room and it would be nice to be able to use headphones to watch a show while the wife watches something else on the other TV. Maybe the A3 will have it...
-Every time the X7 is rebooted, the default Audio is switched to the remote's speaker. I'm not sure if this is an A2 issue, or an X7 issue, because I've heard mention of it with other remotes. To me its a nuisance, to anyone who isn't familiar with it, it will be confusing.
-I've only had it for a day, so I'm not sure about the battery life. But the TSM-01 had a built in, rechargeable battery. It would be nice to have with this. But a separate set of rechargeables should work.

Yes the Audio switch is a known issue. It should be fixed in the 006c firmware (http://minixforums.com/threads/pre-006-firmware.2390/) but keep in mind that that one is beta. There is a lot of workarounds (automated script / SoundAbout app) if you want to fix it.

Hey diegocaxudo I sold my A2 because the battery life was really horrible and I was going through new batteries every week. You recommended the iPazzport kp-810-16 but just wanted to know if you have any issues with the remote with the X7 before I buy one. If you can answer the following questions for me that will be great:

Will the remote work with finless 1.6 overclocked rom?
                            How is the battery life?
                            Are there any lag issues?
Does the power button wake the X7 from sleep mode?
Do all the buttons work with the X7 (home, back etc.)?
Are there any other issues I should know about before I buy one?

                              1 yes
2 great (haven't charge it for like a week)
3 the buttons in the back have IR learning function (they can copy any function frome any other IR remote such as the x7's)
4 the f1-f12 keys are f1, f2, f3, f4 ,f5... by default so you'll have to hold the Fn button to use any of the functions, but they do work and if yoy hold f9 you'll take a screenshot
5 This is not an issue about the device but mine came witha problem, I have to push the "V" key harder than the other keys, is not that much but that's the only issue I've had. I think I don't like that the mouse keys are at the top.

I might swittch to a new remote/keyboar/mouse, I was thinking:

                              Rii mini i13

                              or

                              RII K25
