Thanks for the reply but I think im gonna go with the iPazzport since it cost way less then the other remotes and the ones you mentioned. But before I buy mine just wanted to confirm one more thing is there any lag issues with the iPazzport and does it work good with XBMC? also since you have the remote is there any reason you think I shouldnt buy one or why you would recommend the other two remote.

2 great (haven't charge it for like a week)
3 the buttons in the back have IR learning function (they can copy any function frome any other IR remote such as the x7's)
4 the f1-f12 keys are f1, f2, f3, f4 ,f5... by default so you'll have to hold the Fn button to use any of the functions, but they do work and if yoy hold f9 you'll take a screenshot
5 This is not an issue about the device but mine came witha problem, I have to push the "V" key harder than the other keys, is not that much but that's the only issue I've had. I think I don't like that the mouse keys are at the top.

I might swittch to a new remote/keyboar/mouse, I was thinking:

    Rii mini i13

    or

    RII K25

I bought the Logitech K400 keyboard/mouse combo. It works beautifully on the Minix X7, no setup required. It detected it almost immediately, and works great on all apps. XBMC however gets some hiccups when using the keyboard, but only on screens where I'm typing in a web address or manually adding a directory.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for something portable or small.

there is something I hate about the remote, I didn't tought about it at first but, when I'm not using the keyboard (I'm using the mouse), I allways need to switch back to the "keyboard mode" (Landscape) if I want to use the arrow keys (for the xbmc or anything els) or if I want to use any function key (home, back, play-pause...). With the Rii k25 you have all the buttons you need in the remote side, you only use the keyboard when you want to write something.

I ordered the RII K25 from geekbuying when I ordered my X7 (it only just shipped so I won't get them for a couple of weeks yet). I recently saw a video review of the RII K25 that said the remote side doesn't work with XBMC because it uses IR only (doesn't communicate with the USB dongle) and so does not generate keyboard presses (the keyboard side uses the dongle and obviously generates key presses).

Is this typical of most IR/keyboard remotes? (I'm new to this whole TV box thing - I'm sick of using my PS3 to stream content on my LAN).

I actaully ordered mine from newegg.com but it turns out the seller is geekbuying on newegg also so I need to wait a couple weeks also because the remote is being shipped from China so I'm still waiting for my remote to come in also but once I get it I'll let you know how it turns out.

I had the same question when looking for my remote. Best I can tell is some remotes are designed with certain boxes in mind so they just work, yet they arent programmable (ir) so if u have a dissimilar box the ir side wont work with it. Some remotes are advertised as "learning" remotes, I think that just means its programmable like a universal remote is, so should pretty well work with most boxes.

I ended up not buying an ir remote so I cant say for sure that this is correct info, but thats how it looks to me

Sorry I forgot to give the update...So I did get mine and I did not like it and I put mine up for sale on ****. I think the A2 was way better but the A2 just had horrible battery life but I don't know if my A2 was defective or if everyone was having the same problem. The reason I did not like it is because the range is horrible, the air mouse really lags, when you type something it types the same character 2-4 times and when you press backspace it does the same thing so it will delete 3-4 characters you typed and the last reason is the none keyboard side navigation buttons can not be used like how they can be used on the A2 so for example to navigate on XBMC you cant use the front side of the remote navigation buttons but you have to use the keyboard arrow buttons on the back of the keyboard. Also just a side note geekbuying sucks!!! the reason why I say that is because I bought the remote brand new but when I got it it was a used unit that was really scratched up I attached a picture on the post but you really cant tell on there but the shiny piano black part of the remote was all scratched up. I will never buy anything from them again because this is the second time I got screwed over from them because when I bought the A2 from them I tired to return it but it was costing me about $10 to ship back and geekbuying tells me to find a cheaper way to send the item back and now with the Rii remote they sent me a used scracthed up remote. Sorry for venting but spent so much money on remotes and none off them work good besides the official remote app that can be downloaded from minix but I did order a Logitech K400 from Bestbuy for $20 because I heard good things about the keyboard from a thread posted here plus Finless uses it also and he likes it also. Hope that helps.

Just a quick word on the A2. Lots of people have had issues with battery life but it's been fine for me, so some units may have an issue I guess. Re the auto repeat, you can get apps (eg External Keyboard Helper) which should allow you to turn auto repeat off. I find the the range OK for what it's worth.

I am using a Mele F10 on iMito MX1 with Finless 1.7 ROM. I am very happy with it after a little key mapping.

                                It is hard to remap?
I mostly use XBMC, my fear is that it's hard to use as a classic remote using the center button as OK.
