When installing codecs, you must run it once as specified to install codecs in Archos.

slightest movement , the internal player's performance in no where near something like mx player
due to the fact that XBMC uses a generic hw acceleration called libstagefright which in turn relies on
A software layer called omx components which brings down the video performance , also very slow
Seeking , no wireless xbox game pad support like xbmc for windows.

But on the other hand it has a better movie and episodes identification engine than mizuu
As mizuu uses themoviedb engine + some modification but xbmc can use its universal
scrapper which is better (on my library of 370 movies xbmc only missed 6 movies but mizuu
on the same library missed 28)

Also xbmc has an option of automaticlly downloading the movie subtitles and it is one of the big
Reasons i still use it until today.

Personally i use both but leaning towards using mizuu more.
If you go to the mizuu site, there is an area where you can vote on proposed features, one of those features is automatic downloading of subtitles. The author of the app isn't too keen on putting it in because he believes it should be something implemented in the player as opposed to his app but if enough people showed that they wanted this feature i'm sure he'd put it higher on his list.

I can't figure out what Dice player wants for a SAMBA or an FTP address? Nothing I have tried so far can make a connection to anything on my network.

Been using Mizuu here for a while. Works very well for me but I asked to have it setup so I could use existing xml files and cover sheets and dvd covers as an option and got told no I won't make a change like that for one person. I don't think I'm the only one that might like that.

I do not undestand your question here. I install dice and enter my samba address ex: 192.168.x.x and it work for me, but dice won't work with fanart, it only work like an explorer. In mizuu or archos the file for fanart are kept on your android device. Archos have a setting to store the fanart on the smb server, but the info are store as .nfo and jpg cover... Could you elaborate on your need?

That is what I entered for SMB. The address of my NAS. It worked one time after that it just tells me it can't connect.

                    BTW Archos is very nice!

Does your NAS has a static ip? It must be a network problem, or something related to you NAS.

No it's not static. Funny, Archos connects fine, so does es file explorer and several other apps but Dice won't repeatedly connect on any of three android devices I have - T428 finless rom, asus tf700 tablet ot my moto phone. So yeah it must be a network thing but somehow related to Dice.

Sorta.. I went to the app manager and deleted all the data. Now it works fine, did the same to other devices and they work now too.
