NO HDMI videooutput

Hello,

my box arrived at me today and I tried different display resolution in the android because I try to connect it to an older 1280x1024 monitor and I get there only "no signal"...
So for changing I switch the cable between the monitor and my TV and suddenly back at the TV (back connected from the monitor (I think it was 720p@60Hz)) there is a "no signal" at the TV too...

A/V works, but any change I do at the display resolution at android, nothing else at HDMI than "no signal"... (with AV pluged in and restart without AV)
I try a factory reset (must call it try because at AV it's not good to read because it's cut on the left side at the screen)...=> "no signal"...

Anyone any idea???

Couple things I could come up with are:
1. Make sure you use the correct HDMI cable (should use the one come with the device which is HDMI 1.3 or higher).
2. Problem with your device or monitor, to solve this, try to connect to a HDMI TV (at friends' or parents' house).

Are you using stock firmware, if you are it sounds like bad device. If custom firmware you may still have some good chances.

But perhaps there is any solution at any customable config file... Please give the information to me

I suggest you should try to reflash stock firmware and if the issue is not resolved then you need to exchange the device. You probably misunderstood me saying about custom firmware, I said if you are running custom firmware then there's a chance that it maybe firmware issue. So just do my suggestion above as your last resort. Good luck!

Because at the moment, I try to chance the device as warranty replacement (sent from Germany but Chinese traders), but the first answer "Try another cable" ... I hope I can send it back in Germany and not to China...

Is your device rooted? if it is you could read your device enginelink number using Titanium backup.

If you did purchase it from within the EU and it came from a EU location, then you should not be asked to return it anywhere else in the World and refuse to do so if told to.

I found out, that my monitorcable (DVI) have a cable break... (which may have been the reason; and now it's in the garbage)

2. its Processer:RK3188 Quad-core Cortex A9 1.4GHz i think.
3. Model:CS918
4. i had some times this problem to have not full screen just scale, but it was readeble. Now can read whats there.
