so I guess the best solution is to install the non-tv version? i don't have particular problem with my gt1 ultimate with the android 7.1 non-tv rom from Alvatech.
I mean, some apps are not optimized for a tv screen but at least they all appears on Google Play.

• 1st Download the latest version of Magisk Manager and install it first before proceeding with further instructions.
• Next download the Magisk Recovery Patch for your specific box, and put this somewhere you know, like an SD Card.

What is special abot these patches? Can I use them for other boxes?

The Recovery patch is just a Flash of the Recovery with a Magisk embedded so that Magisk works via Recovery initializing it. This info is all in Magisk Tutorials and ReadMe files. It may be possible to work with others devices, but to be safe use your original files Patched with Magisk.

I ask since latest information to me was that Magisk wont work on Amlogic boxes? I have minixfreak OS V4 flashed on S905x2 non working su, Iwould like to have that one rooted
