Why isn't android being ported to the 912 chip? We paid good money for these boxes,and are now left behind!

great question wondering the same thing i have a minix neo u9. great box zero official support ! currently stuck on red poison atv v2 rhe one with the usb , no remote . cant find any updated versions

you should ask "amlogic" for the Android 9 sdk for s912

or if you seek android upgrades.. get a Intel based PC..
Then you choose what to fork/version you wish to install
example : Android x86 or BlissOs or PrimeOs or FydeOs or Android TV x86 or... many more
or make it dualboot like my intel PC : libreelec x86, PrimeOs x86 and Win10 x64 ltsc ( currently booting fydeOs from USB stick )
note: some android x86 versions do not support hdmi audio

or alternatively nvidia shield TV... also well supported device

Thank you for taking the time to respond an try to help . I’m a complete noob at this an have very little understanding of anything you suggested . I do happen to have a amd laptop . Not intel . I personally am just looking for a newer more modern ATV OS such as 9.0 Which I can just flash using the burning tool . Looks like I’ll be busy on the google an going over the post in these forums . thanks agin for your help
