How can I hide the status bar and solve "dock" navigation problem?

    Hi all,

Finally got round to updating to Finless 1.6 and everything is working smoothly.
However, there is one very, annoying thing I'm finding... The status/system bar at the bottom of the screen.
My problem is that I can't get rid of it of the status bar on the home screen. In other apps, it disappears as normal, and I have checked the "auto-hide systembar" option in the settings app.

Another annoying thing, I've repositioned some of my apps at the bottom of the home screen, in the dock. The problem is that, when I'm using the remote's d-pad to navigate, sometimes the app that becomes highlighted is not the one that I want (or would expect) to become highlighted.
Eg. when in the bottom left corrner app is highlighted, one would expect a further "down press" would select the app in on the left side of the dock. Instead, the cursor jumps to the centre "Apps" icon... This makes navigating the dock a nightmare. Is there any way to correct this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

this is like having a nexus 7 (for example)
, if it-s set to auto-hid it will when you are doing things like watching a video, but when you are not, your device won't know what kind of app are you using so it leaves the status bar because you might need it (if you are doing things like browsing the web or using facebook), so if you are doing something like playing a game it won't auto-hide you'll still have the status bar. as in any other androi device with on-screen buttons you can download apps that will give you a full screen expirience or hide the status bar. Also, some roms come with a " hide" button on the status bar so you could hide it whenever you eant (like lewy's 1.2.1 rom)

    here's an app: full!screen

and here's another one: Hide Bottom Bar
