    - "Apply udate from EXT"
    - "update from udisk" (since you use a pendrive/USB stick) or (update from sd if you use sd card)
    - select file TWRP_322.zip
    - After pressing "ENTER" or clicking this file your box will restart in the NOT permanent TWRP

******************** Please note that the easiest way to go to your recovery is much more simple than using the reset button (in AV hole). It is a lot easier to do:
    - Install the application "Terminal Emulator" from Play Store
    - Run this app (wait until it full loads) and then just write "reboot update" and press "ENTER"

You have to backup at least Boot, System, Vendor and your Data partitions.
    Hi.
Finally buy the Hk1 (the rectangular one).

Before putting the modified Hk1 x3 rom I wanted to make a copy of the firmware as it came from the factory just in case.

    it is u219 PR1.180610.011 / 20200716user / test-keys

As you comment, I have downloaded the TWRP (not permanent).
I saved it on a usb pendrive and I start the recovery with the stick in the AV connection and the power connection but in the menu I don't see how to access to install the TWRP zip from the usb and be able to do the complete copy obtaining a security file. (it won't let me upload a photo to show you the menu that comes out of the original recovery)

    the options are::
    -Reboot system now
    -Reboot to bootloader
    -Apply update from ADB
    -Apply update from EXT
    -Wipe data/factory reset
    -Wipe cache partition
    -Wipe param partition
    -Mount /system
    -View recovery logs
    -Run graphics test
    -Run locale test
    -Power off.

    thank you very much.

So there is no need to use the Backup add-on internally in the KODI, correct?
    Just copy the folder org.xbmc.kodi.
The last time I used it was some years ago ..............................................

I saw that the ath56 mod firmware has Kodi.
I backup with the Backup add-on.
But that doesn't copy language settings, weather, etc.
    Please:
Which folders should I copy to restore later?
    Thank you.
The best way is to use a file explorer that can see root files like EsExplorer, Total Commander etc. You then go to "Android-Data-org.xbmc.kodi" and you copy the whole directory "org.xbmc.kodi" to a USB stick (and probably keep that copy to your PC). You can use the same way to restore it to any other installation of KODI regardless of firmware, type of TVbox etc. !!!
If you go "deeper" into this directory "org.xbmc.kodi-files-.kodi" you can use the later ".kodi" to restore it even to a clone of kodi !!
Doing the above procedure you will have a perfect copy of your current kodi installation.

    - Download the licence directory from here https://mega.nz/file/8lECwC4R#AcA4Cs...jaCaCMERrLq6pc
    - Unrar it and copy the whole directory "licence" to where you installed UBT.

Yes it's a square in which you create a "cube". You can add other squares (apps etc) until you fill all the sides a cube has (something like 3D lets say). You "turn" the cube left/right/up/down to get all its sides. Actually its an option I never used.

    - I think that all versions of stock firmware for H96 max X3 are rooted, but there is at least one stock firmware from Vontar that is unrooted and can be used by all the above clones.
    - One of the main advantages of my custom rom is that it has preinstalled magisk with which you can say that you are at the same time rooted and unrooted. In many cases you have to do nothing, in othrers a simple hide is enough and of course in some you have to use some more elaborate options of magisk. You can even easily completely unistall magisk and have an unrooted system.
    - The HK1 BOX I mentioned above is more square like/rectangular in shape (not the HK1 X3)
Maybe anything more is beyond the purpous of this topic. Thank you.

As I have H96 max X3 4/32 I would suggest you that, but there is a but.............. There are 2 versions of it (GREEN board with good wifi and BLUE board with a not so good as they say).If wifi is very important for you, than you may have to consider HK1 BOX. So I would say that if you need very much the wifi (and you are not going to use it with ethernet) and if the seller can assure you that he will send you H96 max X3 with GREEN board, than order that. Otherwise you may have to make another choice...............
Thank you very much for the information, you have clarified my doubts.

As for memory you are right for my use with 32 GB is enough.

Do you know if the H96 max X3 as it comes from the factory comes with firmware without root? since there are applications that to be able to work verify that the tvbox is not rooted.

On the other hand I have seen that the X88 pro X3 is very similar to the H96 max X3,
    in terms of aesthetics.
I like the H96 more square than round. Do you know anything about the X88 pro X3 model? Do you think your Mod ROM could be worth it?

In principle they are all the same. All have 4gb ram and S905X3 but it affects the size of internal space rom 32gb, 64gb or 128gb or does it matter for the firmware to work? Thank you
