How To Dump The Stock ROM from an Amlogic Based Nextbook Tablet

I realize this is an old thread, but i'm trying to back up my amlogic mxq s805, so i can try other firmware on it. the company i bought it from does not have the firmware.

my box is rooted. Using terminal emulator it says: hd18q at the top. i tried the' cat proc/mtd ' command and dev: size erasesize name , but none of the other info

i tried the commands to get or backup bootloader.img , recovery.img and logo.img , but it returns with an error: cannot open for read: no such file or directory

Just looking for a little help here, so i can backup bootloader.img , recovery.img and logo.img

The s805 is a newer chip than the models that I worked on. I'm not sure what differences it might have, but I know some of the other members around freaktab worked on alot of tv boxes and other devices based on the s805, so you can probably find instructions in one of the other forums here.
