Ethernet not working all, no option to select dhcp nowhere on the device

Hi people, I so hope someone here will help...

I just got my new t-r42 but i think my problem has nothing to do with this device because it didn't work also with an older mini pc stick with an ethernet adapter.

Whenever i connect the ethernet cable, i can switch it on on the settings menu but thats it.

I use power line network because the router and modem are too far away.

This connection works with xbox360 or a different streamer but no luck with Android sofar.

    Anyone?????

    Thanks

    Well..
A few of my android devices have a bug..
Changing from wifi to lan.. the device doesn't get a dhcp ip
    Solution..
Enable lan.. then pull the power-plug.. then power the unit..and lan works
    Or
    Use 'static ip'
Note.. if lan works.. and i choose reboot.. the unit loses lan again
