This is a copy of a post I made on the M9 Pro thread. It also applies to the M6 Pro:
For those of you who have been having problems with wifi slowing down and not speeding back up, thanks to Finless Bob, we may have a solution.
From settings, go to the wifi setting.
Press the menu button (3 dots) at the upper right corner of the screen and tap Advanced.
Uncheck Wi-Fi optimization.
This setting is supposed to turn down wifi speed when not in use, but it never turns back up when you need it to.
I'm still trying to find a fix for the wifi not coming on automatically when the tablet boots.Randy

Thanks for that info. Any details on the OC frequencies? (or perhaps it's in the thread and I missed it)

Sorry, I haven't been following that very closely. I'll leave that up to those guys who are doing the kernel patching.Randy

All you need to do is go to the folder in the ROM kit named "alternate_reboot_to_flash_tool" and open the RKBatchtool.exe along side the Flash Tool (both running at the same time is OK).
Your device will show up as a pink box at the bottom.
Click the "Switch" button. It will reboot your tablet to flash mode.
Go back to the ROM Flash Tool and erase IDB and Flash the ROM according to the guide.
The problem with not being able to get into flash mode from the flash tool raised it's ugly head after we created the First Time User's Guide, so there isn't any documentation for it...but I started including that app in the kit. I need to nudge Pr0Xzen a little more to update the guide for me.
I can't explain it, but the reboot to flash just miraculously started working on my Windows 8 tablet. I have no idea what I did to fix it...but I flash some 100 or more times a week...so maybe that did it.
I didn't really have a lot of stuff on my PiPO, so doing a factory reset really wasn't that big of an issue. And HONESTLY? I think there must have been some sort of error when I was trying before, because as soon as I did a factory reset I was able to install the Rocket drivers with NO problem at all. I didn't even have to disable the USB port. Once I got the drivers installed - it was SMOOTH SAILING BABY! YAY! LOL
You are AWESOMENESS..yes, I bow to the God of PiPO LOLOL

I hope you enjoy the ROM!!!!!!!!Especially since I AM such a noob.. haha
I have noticed since doing the update that it seems to have slowed down.. there's a big of a lag when I click on icons and they actually execute. I suppose I notice it because as I said b4, there wasn't really a lot on my tablet so it moved fast.. now there is a definite lag.. very noticeable.
Oh, and I downloaded Tapatalk, but when I searched for the forum, it couldn't find it.. what am I missing?? good grief.. LOL

Deep Sleep experience
Hi everyone!
I am nearly noobe to this all You doing, firstly Big thank for Your works, but I would like to share with You my experience, maybe helpful. When i got my Pipo m6 pro maybe 3 weeks ago, i read your forums so i decided to flash my tab, with, rileyrom 1.3a , before i did a backup(accidentaly on builtin card) a noticed Deep sleep is working if i removed the sim card, thats it. Was enough. After flashing rileyrom and recognize that deep sleep cant work, i would want to flash back my original fw, but i lost it, (builtin backup ). Sadly i can remember only this data from my original version, 2013.08.24 #91, sorry, i think this firmware was good by the deep sleep issue.
Sorry for my long and bad english, hope i can help and proof can do something with this information.
Best regards!

I did the official update without a hitch but I can't get the root tool to work.
So Pipo switched on...USB cable in....debugging selected.
When I run the abd exe it just flashes quickly..
If I run .bat I get a device cannot be found error.
In the devices (on windows) there is an icon called pipo with the troubleshooting indicator.
So I'm guessing the drivers aren't installing but without the abd working I'm at a loss.
Any ideas? I'd really like to root my pipo so I can backup my apps before flashing to the rileyrom
I am sure the adb program isn't installing the drivers for some reason.
Could somebody explain to me what I should see when I run it, it just flashes up..
I need to root
Grrrrr

Randy do you still have the kernel for Pipo M6pro relevant to the 1st release (the August one)? If yes, it could be interesting doing some mixed configuration with that "old" kernel with the RileyRom 1.3a...
Could you provide it in some way???if you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

Re: Pipo M6 Pro RileyROM 1.3
There's some firmware issues I'm trying to iron out that caused battery drain. For now...make sure all mobile data is turned off in settings.
