Btw, I've cracked open my tablet now, to try to see if I can get any info on the TS.

The TS itself is made by DPT-Group, and the model number seems to be "300-L4598A-A00".

A quick google on that didnt show anything of interest though.

There is a small chip in the TS flat cable, which I've only managed to read "Goodix" from for now. The other text is too small to see without a magnifying glass or something.

Will report back when I got more info.

I think it's the Goodix GT928 chip. At least on my Pipo M9.

Problem with touchscreen

I have the same problem. My pipo m9 touchscreen doesn't work. I had an issue with my Pipo touch screen similar to the problem you can see in the following videos:

So I decided to buy a new touchscreen directly to Pipo, I send them previously a photo of the touchscreen conector because they told me to do it because there different types of touchscreens. I put the new touch screen but it simply doesn't work.

I probe flashing with lots of different roms ( official and rileyrom) but it doesn't work. The only information I obtained is that my tablet version is old pcb because the only oficial rom that works in my pipo is the "M9 wifi old pcb 4.2.2_20130529" and rileyrom Pipo_M9_Max_RileyROM_Old_PCB_2.0 works too (the screen is not black and the tablet starts correctly but touchscreen doesn't works).

I read in this thread that rileyrom 2.3 fix one user tablet but it doesn't work with my pipo because this rom is new pcb ( the screen when I root the table stays black).

Could you help me? Thanks.
