    tablet stuck on black screen

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me..

Yesterday I picked up my Pipo M9 Max to find that the screen had gone grey with some lines across it.
I tried flashing RileyROM 2.2 (going from RileyROM 1.8), but unfortunately this didn't change anything.

I read somewhere that this problem could be caused by having a V2 ROM running on a V1 tablet, so I tried flashing RileyROM 2.2 Old PCB version to find out if this was the case. This didn't fix the problem either but now the the screen is plain black with some light coming from it (instead of grey with lines across it) which suggests to me that this could be a problem with the drivers for display.. ?

I think it is still working normally except for screen (still can turn it on/off and hear notifications going on).

Is there anything anyone can suggest that I could try? I'd really appreciate any suggestions of what I should do next.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread (sorry if it isn't), but I wasn't sure where else to ask about this.

    Thanks,
    Ravi

if flashing firmwares didnt helped with erasing the flash nand first than maybe your screen just died/malfunctioned

Having an issue with the oc kernel.

Touchscreen do not work at all... Reboot into flashmode and flash stock kernel and it works at the next reboot...

I tried with the OC Kernel but when tablet booted up i heard some sort of speaker static noise , also noticed battery was draining really fast. Using stock now and no issues at all.

Is it first kernel version. It has maximum frequency 1.8 and DDR speed. Some tablets cannot hangle this, like mine. Please find attached another testing kernel. It has 1.7 and 672 DDR speed and lower voltage levels. Also it has other improvements, such as wi-fi battery usage in deep-sleep mode. Please NOTE it is testing kernel, but I'im running on it for who weeks without any trouble. dnkin fixing battery charging and prediction. If this kernel will help, please support him.

He is chargind and discharging device battery and reflashing it every day several times to find better solution and test kernel. It is signicantly decreases lifecycle of device.

Tested those kernels with rileyrom 2.2 and still get no response from touchscreen when booted. Using stock kernel now, and will keep an eye on the development.

Thats weird maybe you have new touch screen revision or different model, which dnkn does not know.

Used rkpatchomatic on the original kernel and got some working ones.

21522 on antutu with stock cpu/gpu but ddr @720.

Gonna play with gpu oc along with ddr oc and see where it puts me.

it was the oc kernal that riley included in this 2.2 package.

Ive flashed the 672ddr kernel and will test it as i use it.

                              flash mode failed

                              Hi,
                              1. Is the enter to flash mode, the same as Reboot2Flash ? I get "flash mode failed" when PIPO is on, not entered in flash mode

                              PIPO MAX M9, build 07/23

In the ROM kit is a folder called "alternate tool to reboot to flash mode". Run the RKBatchTool in that folder at the same time as the Flash Tool. You will see a pink box at the bottom. Click the "switch" button. Your tablet will go into flash mode. Go to the Flash Tool and continue.
