Mask ROM mode MK802IV (need help)

I need some help if possible.
I got an error while flashing my mk802iv 8gb and now I can't flash my device.
If I boot my device connected to the computer, the flash tool says "found Device MaksRom Rock Usb"
I can Erase the Nand successfully but if I flash I get the error Download idb failed.

Am I doing something wrong of is there no solution for this

Re: Mask ROM mode MK802IV (need help)

I have the same problem with my ug007II its the same device like the mk802IIIS.
I flashed my custom rom and after that i installed a cwm zip .
Just with some system apps and lib files.
The device booted fine but it was a mess with the rom.
So i decided to do a whole new flash.
I booted the device in maskrom mode.
    Erasing idb was ok.
But download idb fails always now.
Even when i use different usb cables or another pc.
I think there is no solution .
I think the chip is messed up inside.
The device stay also in maskrom mode even after a night without power on it.
So i think its trash now.
This is my second device that i broke now for helping other people with roms.
First a tablet and now a tv stick.
The wife is very happy now :banghead:

I had similar problem, there is solution involving shorting 2 pins of NAND while powering UP.
      Look at this thread:

I think u have to shortens between 5th and 6th pins in the rock chip while connecting to PC .count pins from left to right in the otg port side until PC find ur device

My device boots directly tot mask rom mode. But keep getting this error.
I tried to shorten 5 and 6 but its the same result.

makes me wonder if the board itself has a short in it causing it to not see the NAND flash ... or just bad NAND flash .... shorting pins won't help in this case because its allready in stuck in read only Mask ROM mode ...... if you havnt allready I would definatly try flashing it with a stock rom and use the RKBatchTool.exe .... the reason for my thinking is if your in mask rom mode your device is in a state like it would be with brand new chips in the factory ... so use the factory tools in order to hopfully un-brick it .... alternative if you can get your hands on some electrical contact cleaner ... that might help clean out any grease or carbon track causing your chips to short and keeping you stuck in Mask Rom mode

What do you mean with this? "the firmware of a multi-component program".
I tried to flash original roms and neo roms but all programs give me an error.

dang...... not good it looks as though your NAND flash isn't writeable ... how did this happen orginaly? ... what made your device go into mask rom mode? .... have you tried cleaning the chips? .. did it get wet?

                              It didnt get wet.
I flashed the kasty rom succesfull but it hanged durring boot.
Then i wanted to flash back to neo rom so i erased the idb.
After that i got an error.
Then i resetted the power and sinds then i am stuck in mask rom mode.

I didnt try cleaning the chips.
Gonne try that. Thanks for the tip.
