Difference between Finless Rom 1.8 and Quickshot Rom

I tested all available Roms for the X7 MINI.
The best for me is Neo_x7_4.2.2_Finless_18 with boot720no_air.img, unfortunately only WiFi is no good.
Is there or wil there be a Finless 1.8 rom with a Minix X7 Mini WiFi module ?

Maybe QuickShot can produce such a ROM?

I tested my A2 yesterday after flashing your rom and you are right. I am happy now Thanks for the nicely crafted ROM..

I have a few issues as below:

• the icons and test in your rom are too small for comfort. Is there anyway to change the size ? I have edited the build prop and made LCD Density to 240, but didnt make any difference. What else should be done to increase the icon size ? I m on default Kernel that comes with your ROM for X7.
• I have replaced the XBMC app with Minix Beta version, but i am not able to use any addons from SuperRepo. 1Channel, Icefilms etc get installed but when i click on it i get plug-in failed error and doesnt play. do you have any suggestion for this ?

In fact, I did change mine to 240 and it made the icons larger. I used the 'build prop editor' app from Google Play.
Then I changed the number to 200 so the icons looks larger & sportier then the 160 setting.

That is what I imagined. It would be a great surprise that it worked out of the box.

Are you using sixaxis app? You cannot use a sixaxis controller with BT directly on Android.

can we replace all files to do with BT in android from a a working, earlier build from minix into this new rom?

tested two days. so my feedback is this:

1) i have installed c170 logitech camera and there is a problem in audio settings.

i have checked passthrough option in sound manager, but in every restart audio input goes to the camera! any suggestion?

2) your pre-installed xbmc app is not working good with passthrough. i tried minix beta version and it is better.

3) after 1 or 2 minutes of inactivity display goes offline and i have to press a button to come back online. how to de activate this option?

Bob roms are all great roms,
We have published a specific Rom for the x7-mini, and ithas the mini wifi module included in 008 stock firm.

In fact, I did change mine to 240 and it made the icons larger. I used the 'build prop editor' app from Google Play.
Then I changed the number to 200 so the icons looks larger & sportier then the 160 setting.

Please, try to use 160 or 240, other density will make incompatibility with some market apps.

1) we are working on it, the last stock rom from minix, dont keep the prevoos selection.

2)yes, minix beta is working better, but when we launched this rom the beta was not teleased yet.

3) go settings/developer option and select an option about maintain awake while it is charging.

Mk802IV old wifi

Hi Guys, seems like you did great work here.

Can this ROM work on my MK802IV with old WIFI RTL8188?

I am using neomode rom now which is great, however there are some issues with video streaming from SMB, I am happy to assist as a tester for ROMS on my MK802IV.

I can't know what will happen in the future by using a kernel not designed for your device so the best you can do is to flash de x7 mini version.
You can do a backup of your apps with titanium backup, it's free and you can get it at the google play.
For the xbmc plugins, if you are using the xbmc version bundled with our rom then you have installed the xbmcbackup plugin which comes very handy to this situation Make a backup and then restore it later.
If you are using another xbmc then you can install xbmc backup from the xbmc repos.
If you need detailed steps on how to do this i can help you

Any idea if it would brick the device by damaging any hardware, even if x7 fw works on mini?
i am asking this because I'm facing reboot issues with mini version of ROM..mostly happens after heavy use of the air mouse..I did not have this issue with the X7 version

Our boot.img is valid for both resolutions 720p and 1080p, if you want to use a 720p kernel, Bob has it, you can use his kernels with this rom too if you want.

Sorry, it will boot, but you will loose wifi and BT, we expect to port it to more devices soon, but now we are triying to improve some things a bit.

We have noticed reports about reboot with both devices and in both roms (using the stock rom too) using some airmouses, I am using the Minix A2 and have not any reboot, but some people reports the reboots with this airmouse too, as the reboots are very randomly, is difficult to find the cause, I cant recommend to use minix X7 kernel in x7 devices because I dont have the X7mini and I cant test that all is right, but if you want to use it use it....

That is exactly what I did before asking in this thread, but with Bob,s boot and kernel, I have problems
with WiFi speed. (It is very slow).

Unfortunately, my parents TV has problems with 1080 kernel.
My own TV is running very well with 1080 kernel configuration, 720P does not run on my TV....

I have the same problem. On bobs 1.7 i had perfect wifi but on this rom and bobs 1.8 wifi is bad.

I am using the finless bob 1080p kernel with the Quickshot rom and get 1.8mb/sec over wifi. The router is in the adjancet room. For me this has been he most stable rom.

1 Week Quickshot Rom

Used with Neo X7 and Mele F10 Pro
3 Shutdowns, i think from unreliable apps.(chinese crap)
1 Freeze, don't know why.
Its stable, its quick, movies play well.
Perfect rom for me.
Build in app/option to change the lcd density, and the screensaver settings would make it perfect.
