@ghost--
Does your 'I' have TV out or not? I flashed two 70i models with this rom, one worked perfect - were the other, the gsensor was screwee. The only external difference was one had tv out and the other didn't. I am going flash a 70c today and see were that takes me. Maybe some of these units are not created equally.

I'm guessing that the one i model that worked correctly was the one without the TV-out, right?? Mine has the TV-out, but the gsensor is inverted...
Anyone havve any guesses as to how longit may be before we get aohter version with inverted gsensor settings? Just curious if I should flash back to Onda for now or just wait it out....
Thanks again for the great work guys!

Ok, so there we have it - there are two different "versions" of the 701i - one with the TV-out (which gsensor is inverted) and one without the TV-out (which gsensor is fine)... So, I guess we would need two versions, just like Onda does....
Hmm, that has me wondering if the TV-out even works being that the system dump is from a 701i without the TV-out jack... I'll have to see if I can find a cable to tet it with. I'll report back if I find anything....
Thanks.

The dump that I got to Shawn actually came from a 701i with tv out. So would need to find one stock with out the TV out jack and do a dump from it to try and find differences (or maybe even just compare build.props). I know there is a post of them somewhere around here.
Just gotta say big ups to Shawn on being able to get the stock rom together.

Congratulations!
Hello!
Congratulations! All hail Finless and Shawn, the great ROM gurus of Freaktab!
What turned out to be the issue with the ROM dumps that had them be way too small? I DID notice several other NAND areas mentioned in another file - NANDs I wasn't asked to dump for you. Perhaps THOSE had what was needed in them...
Think I'll stay stock, if I can, until this g-sensor is worked out. Hopefully, comparing the ROM dumps of one WITH TV out and one WITHOUT will reveal a solution.
The A10 has recovery hardware engineered inside that makes the flash procedure for these tablets different from their earlier models. I'm betting that THIS is a factor in why ST is dragging their derrieres about getting those ROM updates out to us. They SHOULD have worked all this out BEFORE they started selling these things. (Shades of Microsoft!)
Speaking of Microsoft, of COURSE the global phone network runs on UNIX. Would YOU entrust YOUR phone calls to Bill Gates?
ST would PROBABLY have to pay a royalty to distribute the flashing software utility (LiveSuite?) in the USA. In China, where they're made, no one's terribly concerned about copyright infringement. Here, different story. Writing one of their own will take time. Therefore, in the meantime, stall tactics are required. I'm not saying that my assessment IS accurate, but it PROBABLY IS!
I'm pretty certain that the reason why we don't get Play Store factory-installed in our tablets is that Google wants manufacturers to pay outrageous royalties to them for Play Store access. (I can't really blame them for that; I wouldn't want to be gleaned by Google, either.)
I predict that at some point, Google will (or at LEAST TRY TO) totally lock us out of the play Store.
Guess I'll take that stock 701i I bought to do those ROM dumps with back for a refund now. I don't need two.
In the end, what I did for these guys didn't end up being much of a factor - if any - in the final outcome, but I was glad to be able to do what was asked of me in this effort nonetheless.
Again, Shawn, U DA MAN! Folks, this is only the beginning.

I am happy with the SlideMe market and manualy installing apps.. google play is just a little to self important IMHO..
in the long run I am curies to see what ROM runs better overall.. I like the idea of watching TV on this thing but honestly I am looking to keep up with work documents, emails and manuals.. (and my wife drains the battery for me, playing angry birds)

I HAD a I without the TV out and I returned it before doing much with it, I WANT TV out on mine just like the box claimed it had. I'd also love to get one with the HDMI port as I guess some of the oddball **** version have it but none at BL. I know many prefer the component out but just for convenience seeing how all my gear now supports it a one cable everything solution is nice.
As far as the ROM download I'm using the nightly version of 64bit FF and it blocked that download but IE seems fine with it so using that now to get it just in case I need it with the working I I traded into that does have TV out.
