The datasheet for the plug is in there too

There is always the chance it is not in yours.

Well, like I said I had a non TV out one and traded it in, didn't think about doing anything with it or taking pictures of the guts as I was pretty pissed about not getting the TV out the box claimed it had and my other C model did have.I
Wonder if the few units that don't have the out have a new box now that doesn't say it has TV out, the one I got still claimed it did.

My market/play crapped out following "root" instructions
Thanks so much!
I was searching for the original signed Google Services Framework from Polaroid/Factory since market was working (almost? i was able to download apps, but something still wasn't right) so I followed a wrong guide, upgraded Google Services Framework to different signed version than what came installed.
I think I should have tried a different set of instructions, rather than "root" as this tablet comes pre-rooted. I don't know if earlier models did not come with immediate R/W root filesystem. Having read through this thread, I guess I won't flash the supplied ROM either, since it sounds like I will wind up with upside down g-sensor. But I hope I can harvest some files from it.
I deleted the original APK for Google Services Framework (my tablet came with one, root instructions I was using did not mention this possibility, I thought I had to remove the old signed version to allow the alternate/new signed version to install, boy was that a mistake...), hopefully now I will be able to get the market connection back from this ROM! Thanks!
I have been getting "Server error: Retry" ever since I forced the new services framework to overwrite my stock frameworks. I think I will keep a copy of both frameworks (this time) in case I want to hand the tablet to someone, it's better to have a framework that works with everything but won't download paid apps from the market (services that cost you money!).
Oh boy ! I hope this fixes my Play Market so I can download free apps. I have been side-loading apps with adb and sd card, but none of my other devices support ICS 4.0.3 so there are some apps I just won't get without market.
I am not having issues with other Google apps anymore, other than a dictionary for English that seems to be missing 95% of words... wtf Polaroid?
If anyone else is having similar problem, and all you need is the APK to resolve it, I will extract Google Services Framework from the stock image posted here and PM you, or re-post to a new thread. Maybe it will save someone time. So far I have not found anyone out there with a Polaroid tablet who has this same issue. Mine is the one with the (stock included/externally visible) TV out.
Thank you,
Kingdon

This rom can be flashed with Live Suite and does not use any Onda firmware files. This rom is the same rom that comes preflashed on the PMID701i when you first buy it at the store. So now you can go try new roms without the worry of not being able to return to factory defaults.
Tutorial:
1. Download Live Suite.
2. Turn off your Polaroid Tablet
3. Select the PMID701i.img from inside Live Suite.
4. Hold the second button from the bottom and plug your tablet in. (Recovery Mode)
5. Select Format Upgrade.

Southern Telecom, the manufacturer, doesn't install Google Play Store. If they did, we wouldn't have had to come up with a way to add it.
A Google Chrome plugin is available that will let you sideload apps through your PC. Any free app can in Play Store can be installed by it.

So, has anyone done an MD5 on the firmware that ST released for the 701c and compare it to the MD5 of Shawns ROM? I would certainly HOPE that ST didn't steal his work....

Yes, I understand that. My tablet did not come with Google Play.
But it came with Google Services Framework, that was signed by Southern Telecom or Polaroid division.
I have been unable to locate this file in any rom (could not mount the first ROM i downloaded using kpartx, did not get a chance to look further.)
When I first installed Google Play Store and Google Services Framework from rootkit distributed for PMID701i, I got an error about a conflicting signature for Google Services Framework. Since I did not see this mentioned on any instructions (assumed most tablets simply did not come with any version of the framework) I did not save the original signed file. This is really my problem.
I am not able to get on the market "Server Error (Retry)" without this original file, and it was wiped so that it does not come back with factory restore.
The semantics of adb mv are confusing to me, so much that it causes me to do stupid things like delete files when I don't have any other copy of. It was easier to use adb rm prior to installation, but less reversible. Anyway, the distributed version of Google Services Framework does not work for me. I want the version that came with the tablet. I will trade 0.5BTC for it
I would really like to have a clockworkmod backup (getting the original signed file back would be nice, too, but less important to me at this point.) Has anyone "manually installed a ClockworkMod based recovery" or competing software? Is there any competitor for ClockworkMod at all?
(Open source version?)

Help!!
Hi: Thanks for all the useful info on this site. I have a 701i that I got from BL. Friend of mine got the same tablet. I was able to add the Market to their's using the prescribe methods on this site. I could not ge tit to load on mine. I decided to do a factory reset and start over. When the reset was done, the Market icon was present on the apps page (strange). Still was unable to connect though kept getting "Connection Timeout". Tried to reset it a couple of times and now the WIFI isn't working. Came to this thread and d/l the Live Suite and ROM Download. My problem now is that I can't get to the Recovery Mode (holding the menu button, plugging in the tablet, etc.....) Can someone help even if it is just to get the WIFI going. Thanks

I can't get into Recovery Mode with any combination of hardware buttons, either.
I might try ST's reflash procedure, now that they have Shawn's ROMs in their support area.
It gives me a good feeling to witness how someone's efforts here ended up benefitting EVERYONE who bought these products.
Perhaps this was their whole strategy in the first place - to get the community to develop these files for them.
