I am looking for some XBMC help....
My videos are MPEG HD .ts (transportstream) at around 40MBit recorded from satellite.
I am using a wired connection.
I am getting a freeze every 8 or 10 seconds
    Any ideas?

update: It seems any player I use freezes every 8 or 10 seconds.

I am accessing my Windows 7 Share using ES File Explorer

To play my large file I use a dlna server (available in windows 7). To accesss them I use archos who has a upnp browser and open them with mxplayer. I do not know how to set dlna in windows 7, I have twonky in my NAS.

        CS9186s....should I purchase it?

Not sure if in the right place....But I am interested in this:

        http://www.****.com/itm/301052788366...84.m1438.l2649

Anyone have an opinion? Or another option?

        I recently bought this:

        http://cgi.****.com/ws/****ISAPI.dll...m=271349346710

I have been happy with it...but did read the description clearly and did not see that it does not have bluetooth. It has WimoRx which I did get hooked up to my laptop....but doesn't work very well.

I am looking for something with 4.2 or higher, miracast ability, bluetooth, webcam, xbmc (which I really am starting to like) and all the "regular" apps.

        Thanks

So far, and I am an Android n00b, the box works as advertised.
*** Just does not do what "I" want it too. ..... play Satellite DVB streams from my PC - need more Power.

But we have fun watching YouTube, and stream stuff from phones to it.
I don't know how or what to really test.

I added a Logitech K400r keyboard with track pad for easier navigation.

          Also flashed new firmware.

You first link to **** is a first time seller - beware.

I added a "j5" USB Gigabit with AX88178 chipset and it works fine - no drivers needed.

Did it solved the big file playing?

                More2read,

I saw that they are a first time seller. It does worry me a little bit. I want to give them a chance. Everyone has to start out somehow. I just don't want to get taken in the process. I just like the fact the air keyboard comes with it. I could do it separately and it looks like there are others selling the same box. I am really just trying to get some reviews and other options.

I recently bought a stick from ****. Total junk! I have been real happy with the second box that I had the link for. I just wished I had read the missing Bluetooth.

So, I will just keep searching and hopefully get some more opinions.

                Thanks for the input!

-like setting 'max_power 1' this disableds the powersave fuction -Cores going offline
-like removing cpu 'heart beat' going from 120 to 1ghz

No, but there seems to be improvement playing, but when I streamed to the unit with Gigabit adapter, there were issues.
I have only messed around for a few minutes.

I will try Tuning a bit.

Keep in mind the files & streams that I am trying to play are phat - 30 to 40MBit/sec phat.
My MAG-250 can play most, but it's not android.

I found an anoying thing in ethernet, some report on bluetooth to, the mac address change each time. I need a static one to reserve it on my router. To reach my unit via samba and transfert file, the router not able to route my request because 2 or more CS918S are register. I can reboot my router but It would be eseayer to make it static.

Maybe a different MAC address for each "device" - wired, wireless, bluetooth

Do not buy from 0 feedback, if you want to buy the box already set up, try this one:

                            http://www.****.com.au/itm/231127440...84.m1555.l2649

It's a little more expensive, but all apps already installed for you. I bought from this guy, very good seller. He also sells cs918 and cs968

My link you quoted is the lastest I know of.
No word on 4.4, but this unit is pretty new.
