You can pull recovery image from old Wasser rom (1.2.1) and flash its recovery on top with RK android tool (finless tool)


I have the rule after flash: flash it and after success immediately pull off cables. Then connect to Tv and boot

I bought the practically identical Upmost ATV300 ( http://www.upmost.tw/gb/product_detail.php?prod_id=1059 ) here in Taiwan on Saturday. I've rooted it, installed CWM and created a backup. If you're interested, how might I share the backup/important files with you? It's 720p only but is rock-stable. Btw, the backup might have my account info in it; if so, how to remove it?

This is the first time my 2.1 device with wifi 8188etv has worked....only thing is now the play store wont allow me to load certain apps like speedtest.net...says my device doesn't allow it...why / how does this app work with other firmware's and not this one....is there anything I can changed to get it to see me as a good device in a good country?

Do I need to edit some files for google to see this device as able to run all?

Change build.prop to the one from lewy rom. Or apply finless bob gameloft fix.

Unfortunatly I am not able to unpack the firmware file.

PolarBear, can you provide me your CWM backup?
There is a chance that I can work on this, but a loader problem version will be still unclear this way (hopefully there are only two loaders).

If you can you can also dump partitions as in guide in K-R42 section.

I don't even know what HFW means & XBMC is useless to me since I don't watch TV; all I will use my device for is downloading and teaching. Also, the process of dumping roms and building imgs is quite beyond me at this point, and since I work and have a family, I don't think I can handle it any time soon. I'm quite willing to help in ways that aren't so time consuming, however, and I'm also thankful for those such as yourself who contribute so much. Thanks & apologies.

Can you connect your device to PC and tell me what boot version you have?


If there is no visible in RKbatchtool I will provide any other rock chip designed tool to see that.


I think ROMs don't work because if loader version (since parameter file and etc can be imported from stick rom)


That's how I made hybrid firmware working on justXBMC base.

Loaded this firmware

(new and old kernal for this k-r42) both 1080 work.

Again, you have to pull build.prop from HFW rom for example. I will post it tomorrow when i will have time (16.00 GMT +1)

Hello to all!
I already bought (in Poland) tn-bx09_V2.1 and had some problems with run wasser's fw like others.

I takes all one day but I found a solution to "fix" it with smooth run and support xbmc 13.0 Gotham alpha11 version with 1080p movies even by LAN cable.

This kikat version ( http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...roid-4-4-kikat ) by deafult works great but hangs after reboot - never ending story with recurrent error on top about stop phone application. I don't remember exactly.

I've used kernel-ut1.img as default and get speed like 140% with comparsion to lewy's K-R42_HFW_1.2.0_Final_1080p (only one another working fw with this pcb).
