qilive 97r, is it archos platinum 97b?

it is made from archos and rebrand by auchan, sold in they're store

good specs

but lacks of software and cpu-z says that all cores are limited to 816 mhz.

i thinks it's a rebrand of archos platinum 97b http://www.archos.co...m/specs.html?#a

because:
-specs are the same
-they looks exactly the same
-lots of "archos" brand name in infos
-name similar (archos 97b-qilive 97r)
-and finally, behind this tablet in very small characters there is a code: model number - ac07bpl. If you search this with google you will find a few result and all points to archos 97b.

Any of you guys can confirm this? And if so, wich is the best rom to flash on it?

edit: apparently archos rebrand onda tablets, but i can find a similar onda to this 97b

apparently you the same issue as i have.
I bouth in a portuguese supermarket a Qilive 80b wich is also like the arnova or archos 80b platinum but i can't find anywhere else any rom for it.
I did have someone that if i could extract my rom it could root it and do something more with it.....
but without a asfe stock rom to return back......

hi, i'm sorry but i didn't made the dump (too much mess with recovery and tools), i flashed directly a crewrktablet rom with kitkat. The crew make a rom and fixes for our qilive, i send pm to you

For your infomation (and everybody else), I do have a stock ROM for Qilive 97R-2, JDQ39 20140410.154043
Unfortunately, camera won't work on my 97R.
I would be glad to share if someone needs it.

because it's possible that it's for another version of qilive 97r. But i don't even know if exist.

Yes it is. I knew that when I tried it but I was kinda in a dead end...
So, at least, my 97R is up and running except for the cameras.

From time to time, manufactures change some hardware, either to save some money or resolve bugs. This is why there is a 97R-2. I believe that, appart from some changes in ROM, they changed the camera. But this is just a personal guess...

Forgot to say:
* I personaly dumped the ROM from this 97R-2. The tablet is (almost!) exactly the same as 97R and it's sold as a 97R. You can only tell it's a 97R-2 looking at the ROM specs.
* The nand is from another manufacturer and has diferent size.

In fact, taking a look at build.prop from my 97R, it is identified as a aqilive97qc_v2 and it looks for updates at http://update.archos.com/update_archos_gen8_daos.xml
Unfortunately, there are no updates neither original firmware at archos, at least that I could find.
I read some people saying it's a aoson m30q rebrand, but, be as it may, it looks like archos is the "(ir)responsible" one.

Qilive as a webpage but with no firmware, download, drivers or support page...

you could try to put the serial number on archos site and see if appear

it's really different...what about the specs?

i think they changed the digitizer because there are 2-3 models of aoson m30q (the original tablet) so i think it's the same for the qilive
