How Do I Fit HDMI to mini-HDMI Adapter Into HDMI Port?

Good day people. I have 1.4 HDMI to HDMI cable that I want to use with PIPO M9 but I had to purchase HDMI female to mini-HDMI male adapter to do it:

The problem is that female HDMI to male mini-HDMI does not stay in tablet's HDMI port and is loose:

What can I do here? If I decide to remove some material that covers metal contact, how should I do it? Filing? Cutting? I don't want to mess it up and prefer accurate and clean work.

    Thanks.

The best thing to use is a razor box knife. Just do a small cut at a time. Test fit it after each cut until you get it to stay in.

It may be a worn or poor quality adaptor. I have a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable and that fits snuggly in the tablet port.

        Measure?

Maybe I should measure from point of recessed HDMI port to the surface of tablet's plastic? That's how I would know hwo much to cut off.

Avoid surgery on your tablet, I don't think it's the problem. Get a new cable.

No surgery on tablet. I wanted to measure inside of HDMI port the distance between surface of table until HDMI contact plate to see how much I should cut off from mini-HDMI adapter.

Not to throw you off but my HDMI cable is exactly .25 inches at the plug and fits snuggly in the HDMI port.
              Cheers!
