You're right, this is a reworked kernel with substancial changes.
In addition I would say that Minix should better start seriously working on their firmwares instead of criticizing others because their "work" is really really sh***y.
For a company that claims to have a dedicated development team, till now all they did is compile community fixes and blame rockchip ...

Just look at the last firmware : it took them 1 month to delete su folder, to change the battery status (WOW ! just WOW ! it is the most important thing to change for endusers xD) remove low speed frequencies and add bloatware ...

What a joke ... T_T

If someone want try, this is the kernel + boot img for android 4.4.2 on T428

It should work also on minix x7

The t428 with this kernel + original system img of mk908 4.4.2 work very very well.

This doesn't work for me. It loads up OK but then my mouse and keyboard don't work,my USB HDD also doesn't spin, its as if the USB ports aren't working?

Well, it is floating around for some time, but according to http://www.optofidelity.com/wp-conte...Nexus7-_EN.pdf it seems that KitKat may not be what one expects. I know that the study is not made for Minix devices, but since the same hardware performs worse under different software, from a 1080p playback point of view. Maybe they did some tests before considering releasing the "really" new kernel...

ON T428 with my kernel shared above + system.img android 4.4.2 of mk908, the t428 work very very well.
I can see well also for the first time 1080p videos in the last xbmc build.

antutu score without overclock is 20000

for the minix x7 , i know that with same kernel of t428 the usb hub not work.
i'm trying to add all to the kernel specific for minix x7, but for now some things are incompatible, or i will sudy on it next week.

for minix x7 mini, i have one usb working and i can use it. but i want study first the minix x7 that seem harder to port.

Tried the rooted version on a Neo X7. Wifi and ethernet not working (expected) and only the usb OTG port available.
But the playback of both 720p and 1080p presents micro-freezes (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...1-8-ROM/page19), I have tried MX Player and BS Player.
The only improvement I've seen is that the mouse seems to be more fluent than in 4.2.2.
