With the tablet completely turned off.... unplug the usb cable from the tablet.. press and hold the volume down button... with the volume down button pressed - plug the usb cable into the tablet.. this will bring the tablet up into flash mode...

you should have been able to get into flash mode... the screen will not come on in this mode.. there will be no signs of the tablet actually being on... the only thing that will let you know it is in FEL mode is a device will show up in the device manager or with phoenix suite running with a rom selected .. phoenix suite will ask if you want to do a format upgrade or normal upgrade...

they are pretty much the same as the old ones.. except for a different bootloader image with a big S in it.. same kernel with 4.2.2.. it does seem as if southern telco cleaned up their code when compiling it.. but there is no major enhancements that i have found..
I have been torn on time lately because as Electrik stated.. we are working on bringing kitkat to the polaroid devices.. So i have been spending most of my time on doing so.. lol.. its not a quick process .. however, i think most would rather have cm11 than the latest polaroid rom running 4.2.2 with break-fix additions..
I do have cm11(very much a pre-release) built for the devices and I am working on polishing the kernel.. I have been editing the kernel sources to include the latest sources for the hardware (such as the latest mali sources)..
Hopefully, cm11 will be complete for these devices soon..
