RESOLVED: M6Pro bricked after installing RR1.7

    Hi everybody,

i tried to install RR 1.7 on my M6 Pro 32GB.
I forgot to check the loader to flash.
Now the tablet has a black screen and is not recognised on the pc.

I tired it with Vol+ & Power and ESC & Reset & Power. Nothing happend.

If i hold down the power key, the flashtool shortly shows "Found RKAndroid Loader..." but if i release the button, it showes "No RKAndroid....."

Did i bricked by pipo or can you help me?

How to fix it, see this post

    Thank you

Yes sir...you have officially bricked your tablet.

You need to gather up some items to fix this.

With a thin tool, like a guitar pick or credit card and exact o knife slowly work around the back edges of the tablet to remove the back. Start on one of the corners away from the end with the buttons/connections.

Once the back is off, you need to locate the NAND chip. (I will try to locate a picture for you)

With the tablet connected to PC via USB, press and hold the power button to show it in loader mode (as you described).

With a paper clip or the exact o knife, short pins 7 and 8 on the NAND chip. If you short the correct pins, the display should change to "mask mode" instead of loader mode. You will likely have to keep pressing the power button during this process, but you can unshort the pins.

With the tablet in "mask mode", check the loader box (like you failed to do before)...then erase IDB...and flash the ROM.

You will see the flash tool first run a test, then it will flash the ROM, as usual.

No, it shouldn't be...let me try to find a picture for you.

Sorry, I'm on duty at the firehouse and we had to make an emergency call.

Here is a picture of your NAND chip.

If you orient the tablet the way this picture shows, pin #1 is the top right. Count over to pins 7 and 8 and short them with a paper clip or your knife blade. Use the instructions above.

I haven't looked inside my M6 Pro...hopefully it only has one NAND chip, like this one from the M8 Pro.

If there are two NAND chips, you may need to experiment with the pins on either or both chips...I haven't heard exactly what to do if there are two chips.

Try the one closest to the CPU first...if that doesn't work, try the other chip.

I ended up shorting several different sets of pins before I finally found the right combination on my M8 Pro, and everything worked out OK. So don't worry too much if you get the wrong combination at first.

If you get it...let me know how it went.

I did not see the mask mode, but it stays now at loader mode.
Erase nand worked, but it was completed verry fast.

Flashing is not possible: "Download IDB failed"

You still aren't in mask mode.

Can you see the part number for the NAND Chip.

You need to Google this number and find a spec sheet for it and it will tell you which pins are to be shorted for reset.
