Can you see the part number for the NAND Chip.

You need to Google this number and find a spec sheet for it and it will tell you which pins are to be shorted for reset.
Help please! ! ! ! to find dumping on NAND Chip
Pipo M6 Pro 3G No. NAND: 29F128G08CFBAB What contacts I need to close? ? ?

Its either pin 6 and 7 or 7 and 8. I think that is what is reported on previous posts.

Try different pins. At this point, it can't hurt.

The first time I tried doing this it wouldn't work. I just walked away from it for a couple of days. With a clearer head, I tried different pins...and finally found the sweet combination.

I really can't see the small pins very well...so I just started shorting pins until I found it. This was on my M8 Pro...not the M6 Pro, though.

Sometimes, you have to hold the power button down through the whole flash process. I forgot to mention that.

                  Hey everyone,

It looks like I bricked my Pipo M8HD, it happened after I tried RR 1.7, but this is not related to a wrong loader. I copy paste my edit from the topic so you can understand what happened.

Something weird happens when I erased IDB to flash 1.6: total and current memory did not match, I have a less 6 in current compared to total. I flashed the ROM anyway, saw the screen flickering, So I flashed back to 1.3. I erased IDB, same problem with the numbers and right after I clicked on flash ROM tablet disapears and software switched to no found RK android usb. The 3 steps buttons are no longer working to access the loader mode.

Windows doesn't recognize anything, same goes for the flash tool. From what I understand there is no point trying to pin the NAND (even though I tried with no result) since the tablet appears not to be able to be switch on and I am really unsure of what I can do right now. I found this link but the chipset is different so I can't really use what is detailled over there.

edit: Just for information I managed to get it working thanks to this picture which helped me finding the right pins, if you have the same NAND number look here: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/...h-memory-2.jpg

Connect the tablet to the usb port and shorten these pins, I think my NAND got corrupted somehow.
                  These tablets are really unbrickable

After that no response anymore. The tablet was absolutely dead. No reaction on whatever reset or buttoncombination. Window7 could it not find anymore. Only when pressing and holding powerbutton I heard the windowssound of connection and I saw the tablet in windows, but it disappeared when the powerbutton was released. So there was a little sign of live left.

With RKBatchtool 1.7 I could repair in an new manner I found without opening the tablet Pipo M6pro:

1 I connect tablet over usb.
2 I load the right rom-img file in RKBatchtool.
                    3 Hold the power button.
4 While holding press restore button in Batchtool.
5 Keep power pressed untill first part of flashing is done (button is green by now)
6 at first I released the power to soon and the contact over usb stopped, so did flashing and I had to start over.
7 Flashing completed and pipo rebooted again to normal. Succes.

I could repeat it. Perhaps the same procedure works for other tablets. I am curious.
which rom you upload to your tool?
notice that when i plug usb to tablet says not recognized.
                    my tablet is ubsolutly dead.
                    black screen whatever i did!!
any combination of power supply, and use power on or reset

my tablet was dead after playing a game stuck, press for first and last time reset.
                    original rom no customs
but now dont care if i use the 1.8 if you can help me to open it with it.

power supply chacked at 9.2 v

and ofc i ll donate your success
i want to avoid to send them back one month to go and another one to come back!! i have the tablet only 2 months...

if someone can help me with simple guide for beginners.

OIY! I give UP! I have tried EVERY method listed here and can't get jack doo-dah to work! This is the error I am getting:

I have an M6 Pro (3G+WiFi) that has RileyROM 1.3 on it (did that last year.) Am trying to sell the tablet so I can get a new one, but I wanted to restore it back to factory ROM, but GOOD GRIEF I have tried everything that has been discussed in this thread - nothing works.

The tablet works when you turn it on, but once I plug in the USB cable and try to load it into recovery mode the screen goes black. I have to unplug the USB cable and hit the + key to get it to go into recovery mode. The problem with that is then my PC is disconnected from the tablet and can no longer see the tablet. If I reset the tablet and just boot up normally, it will boot just fine. The tablet will come up and my PC will see it - although I do get a driver error (Windows 8.1) *sigh*

According to the manufacturer's website if you get a "pink" box (like you see in the image I provided) you have to hit the "switch" button, which if I do that I get the whole black screen, no boot thing unless I unplug USB and reset device... OIY - talk about a PITA!! ggrrr

I dunno.. I tried the whole take the back off, short the pins thing - didn't work - nothing works when I try to get it into a recovery mode that will work. Oh - almost forgot, when I unplug the USB cable and boot it into recovery mode I get the little green mechanic, but the message below him says "no command" - does that mean anything to anyone?

Thanks in advance to any and all who respond with advice and suggestions.. or even to say "you're pretty much screwed" LOL

Thank you verry verry verry mutch for your help.

I pluged in the wall charger and then it worked! Mayby the battery was empty

Short how to for other people:
                        1. Open the tab
                        2. Open the flash tool.
                        3. Connect the tab to the pc
                        4. Connect the tab to the wall charger
                        5. Shorting pin 8+9 at the NAND witch is next to the battery (in case of Sandisk NAND) see this: http://abload.de/img/nand0xbuy.jpg
                        6. Power up the tab
                        7. It should appear in MaskMode
                        8. Erase IDB
                        9. Make sure that you have selected the loader and the rest you want to flash
                        10. Click Flash Rom

                        That's it.

                        Again, thank you verry mutch!

                        Grettings
Big thank you, this works! I think that step 4 was a key in the process!

                            Bricked and nothing works

                            Hello.
I tried to install the new RR1.7 ROM. Everything seemed to be ok. The proccess ended without problems.
Reboot the tablet. I smiled when a "new" root screen appeared with a 4.4.2 android logo. My smile started to disappeared as minutes went by and the boot never ended. Tried a new boot. Nothing happens. It remains in the same screen. PC didn´t recognized it. I came to the conclusion, after reading a lot in the forums and trying any possible combination of Volume+/-, ESC, POWER buttons, that somehow, I had bricked my tablet.
I open it, and shorted pins, as indicated. Ok. Now I am in mask mode. But I can´t go on any further.
This is the result after trying to flash ROM again:
I click ERASE NAND. Erasing IDB OK.
I click Flash Rom with Loader marked.
                            Start to run.
                            Start to download boot.
                            Download boot OK.
                            Start to test device.
                            Test device OK.
                            Start to download IDB.
                            Error: Download IDB failed.
                            Error: Run failed.

Also tried different combinations of selected options.

                            I even tried with
Rockchip Batch Tool and original stock Pipo´s Rom.

Typically, this is caused by a bad USB connection...either the driver isn't installed correctly, you are using a USB 3.0 port (only 2.0 works), or have a bad cable. Sometimes, it's a bad connection on the tablet port, but the others are more common.

If you are running Windows 8.1, you will not be able to flash...try an older version of Windows if you have an older PC laying around. Sometimes there's a problem with Windows 7 64bit PC's, too.

Use the cable that came with the tablet. Those included cables have longer micro USB connectors that make a good connection.

                                OK. I take note.
                                I´m using a Windows 7 64 PC bit with a 2.0 USB.
My son has another PC. I will install the drivers again in his PC and try with another cable.
Tomorrow I´ll try and tell you what happens.
Hope some of the above works.
                                Thank you very much.
