Installed v3.0.4 on my X7 last night and it initially ran great before it started to randomly reboot and this continued after re-flashing the ROM.

That said my X7 has had its fair share of ROMs installed on it with overclocks (its currently stable on the official 250 ROM) and as such I cannot conclusively say the reboots are due to a bug with Wasser 3.0.4; it may be more due to a hardware issue on my X7.

I will try again when an updated version comes out - thanks for the effort Wasser!

PS: I was not able to flash it using RKBatchTool 1.7 using Windows 10 - it did not detect my X7. Using 1.8 worked perfectly.

My UT2 Ugoos with a RK3188T chip is sending audio via HDMI to my TV. I don't know if it's passing Dolby or 5.1 as I don't have an amp with HDMI inputs. Mine's an old Yamaha HTR-5830 with Coax, Optical and stereo inputs. So I could check out the optical output on it if need be.

The separate image is an optional overclocked kernel for those who wish to squeeze some extra performance out of their devices. It's entirely device-specific whether a box will work with an oc'd kernel.

Ok, I've installed new firmware 3.0.4. I didn't install kernel manually so I am not sure if the system is using a kernel from the old ROM or what. I also installed Kodi v17.0 today's release.

I am able to start the music, but the USB audio is not working. Whether I connect Audioengine A2+ or the receiver there is no change in Andorid settings under Sound (new device is not showing up).
Also, neither Default output nor HDMI bitstream is not working when selected in Sound Device manager (tested with my TV connected over HDMI).

    Am I missing something here?

UPDATE: I found out that Kernel comes in img file (not sure why there is a separate img provided, though)
There is no audio on the Neo 7 headphone jack either.
Tried with 16.1 Jarvis as well.

Anyhow, audio is dead in my case. Not sure why. The ROM seems to be rather clean, it is really a pity I won't be able to use it.

Ok, I will try this. Just one question regarding the process. Up to know I used RK Tool, and now I've downloaded similar, Android Tool. I don't think I'll have issues in upgrading the FW, but I am not sure how to upgrade Kernel for this. Should I install it before the fw img and if so where could I find steps to do it?
    Thanks!!!

I would like to achieve bitperfect audio sent to my DAC.
Currently, I am on Kitkat v2.2.0 Comunity edition and even when I use regular USB Audio (select Jl Studio Hi Res 2.0) under Android setting I get lots of noise (clicks) out of the speakers.

Installed 3.04 today and it seems pretty good on the UT2 RK3188T. Kodi 17 RC2 is installed and working with a shared MySql database running on a separate PC. Bluetooth functions and sends sound to the BT headset but it's a little choppy...don't use it anyway so no loss for me. WiFi is solid as a rock! Ethernet is strange. It works fine on a powerline adapter, but on every network switch and even directly into the router it constantly drops in/out. Tried different cat5 cables and every network switch I have. Even tried changing the cat5 feeding the switches and resetting each one. So I guess I can live with wifi too...
Installed Apex loader and set it up with no problems.

The only way it could be better for us UT2 users is if there was a ROM for it with a functioning remote! and yes that is a hint

Thanks so much for your time and efforts wasser!

Well for those UT2 owners that were wondering this ROM will install! It will also let you install Kodi Krypton 17RC2!

What it won't do (for me anyway):
Ethernet connection seems to drop in/out randomly
Bluetooth seems to need WiFi enabled for it to not lockup the device I also was able to pair it with some headphones, but no audio through them at all.
Sound is working via HDMI but I couldn't get anything from the stereo output. Don't know about passthrough for 5.1 (didn't hook it up to my amp and TV) or via SPDIF.
The UT2's remote is totally non-functional

So...at least I can still use it for Kodi which is all I really wanted but we'll see how that goes as I just installed it and am setting it up right now.

Big Thanks to Wasser! You did it again!

EDIT: Just discovered I flashed V3.03 Well, back to the drawing board for 3.04...tomorrow.

Keep up with the good work. So far so good. Problem with menu on mxplayer the same, overall a good improvement. Can't test audio output other than tv that is OK. Didn't have tested Kodi yet.
