Can this problem be related to kernel also? Dunno. Yes, please have a look.
Do you know the chip make/model?

There's a source file called charge-regulator.c which sounds likely

Looking at my last TV Stick (t428) build there are refs to 3 regulators.

First of all I wish that you never have that at me happened.

In my case power controller self-locked and stopped reporting battery's state (the worst thing is it stopped to charge battery too). Therefore battery can be near empty, but system does not have updates about its real charge level.

Charge your tablet and calibrate battery. It is highly recommended after every flash

To repeat Randy's advice. always ensure tablet is 100% charged prior to flashing

Hey...you guys have some really good info here. I wonder if that regulator chip can be obtained...and replaced locally. I have an M8 Pro that did exactly the same thing. It is sitting in a drawer awaiting something like this to revive it.

I need to know what other features need some attention. Granted its just a preview beta...a full working baseline is in order...mainly to see if pipo is learning how to fix issues on their other tablets.

It isn't a hardware problem. I have the same problem with my M6 Pro. It was 51% when I plugged in. Charging two hours and still at 51%

Sounds like it may be an idea to pull your ROM just in case?

Will it charge while the screen is switched off?

Hi, I switched to 4.2 because my screen flickers in 4.4, not usable at all

don't know why no problem in 4.2

It looks like Pipo has a ways to go to get KitKat going right.

I don't recommend this ROM unless you are willing to endure battery problems and video glitches. It does serve as a learning tool.

In addition: At least tablet built-in modem (in 3G version) works just fine. Thanks and waiting for non-beta ROM.
