Actually its NOT an A31! Its pretty obvious just by the partition table, lol. It is a rockchip device and maybe NOT a 'T' chip! Ive had it open and no model number on the chip but the rest of the board has rockchip gear on it. The model 'Flytouch 10' is a simple build.prop mod to support the lieing SOB of this sellers con! Bought from Amazon by the way

Ive also found references to 'T7013N' (looks like a rockchip tv card) and 'm8pro' (rockchip pipo device) in the parameters (RockChip 3xxx devices!!). Its running Android 4.2.2 with no errors.

It uses the following hardware :

rk616 chip
Q1001_V1_1101 mainboard
skhynix RAM chip
AXP 202 (Powerchip???)


Im pretty sure it has the wrong firmware on it as it takes 2min30 to bootup but gets an Antutu score of 18k. Performance is sluggish at times but also very quick at times. Ive had the back off it and looked at the chips and the photo of the board is attached (NO branding on the CPU though ).

As for Antutu, Ive upped an A20 from 6k to 9k by rooting it and upped this crappy rk3188 from 15k (stock) to 18k (rooted). I know rooting it shouldnt make a difference but these are real-world results so maybe Antutu isnt as good as you guys think?

Im not stupd, I know its a RockChip, just not totally sure its a 'T'. Easy way to work it out is if Allwinner modding tools dont open the roms but RockChip ones do then Im thinking its a RockChip

I was hoping for constructive comments from people who could point me in the right direction as to finding out the correct chip its running? NOT just silly comments that anyone can google and look like an idiot for reposting! I know a flytouch 10 is an allwinner (How do you think I got the tab for free???). I also am starting to think there are very few people here who can help me with this

Anyone with any actual knowledge of these 3188t chips (or the 3188) - could you please give me some info and where and who to ask for help?

OR, MAYBE IM TOTALLY WRONG? Maybe you can spoof EVERY CPU TOOL into thinking an A31 is actually an rk3188?? If someone knows how to do that then please tell me???

Its clear the Model T aren't junk by any means but the huge quality difference between chips means there rushing them out the door with minimal testing.
Likely due to huge demand since they could easily charge more for ones like mine which seem to overclock like crazy.

Whats super annoying though is the fact that you can either give up speed fora more complete rom or get the speed and a incomplete rom.

For many of us the 1.7 rom wont load due to a check failure.

Fortunately the beta 2.1 does work with the overclocking roms and is mostly complete. (no spinning rims though)

I have Ugoos UM2, the reasons you dont hear anything is ,because UM2 runs fine out of the box..
right now I'm running NEOMODE CUSTOM ROM MK809III AP6210 Version 1.9 with Kernel 3
I have no problem, everything working fine, but no bluetooth.... Everything else runs smooth.
if you flash it the screen gonna be small, you can change it: open build.prop & find the line: ro.sf.lcd_density=160
edit that line so it now says: ro.sf.lcd_density=200 or 240
save & reboot..

Now I wanna try NEOMODE CUSTOM ROM v2.1 I hear good things about it..

Something about OC the RK3188T.
I have 3 Devices with T CPU. Here i will tell you how much I can OC them. The Devices are MK802IV CS918 and MK902.
As Base Rom i use the Minix neo x7 mini Firmware with OC Kernels.
1.6, 1.7, 1.8 GHz.

Mk802IV

I can run up to 1.7 GHz. With more he become unstable. @1.7 he will be get very warm.

CS918

Only can Run at 1.6 GHz. The Heatshink get very warm.
Only Stable at 1.4 GHz

MK902

Can run up to 1.8 GHz with no Problem.

That Confirm for me that the T CPU are RK3188 that not run Proper.
Thats the way they looked it Down to 1.4 GHz.

Rk3188T 10" Tablet, 1Gb/16Gb

Hi guys

I thought Id tell you my story about my experience with this chip.

A few days ago I bought, what I thought, was a rk3188 1.6, 1Gbddr3, BT, GPS, etc.

It showed up unrooted and only got an Antutu score of 15k out of the box oh dear!

Rooted it and got 18k from Antutu, ok-ish :/

Dug into the tab and found no gps, ddr2 ram, etc. NOT very happy

Decided Im not being ripped off like this, so, I composed a really long letter to the people I got it from (listed on Amazon!) explaining what I would do to them for trying to take the mickey!! Clearly the guy who was selling these is a total n00b! After my email to him at 12am the night after I bought it, I had a FULL refund (Including postage) before 9am the same day! AND, I keep the tablet!!!!

RESULT!!!! FREE TAB!!! lmfao

So, now I have this free tab, even if it is 'locked down' It didnt cost me anything. Im thinking, play with it

I dumped everything from it before I did anything so i can make firmware for it, however, the firmware on it is crap! too much hanging, lagging and generally NOT being a proper 3188

Im seeing that im not the only one stuck with these duff chips (but I am the only one who didnt pay for his, lol), so, im on a mission to make these things work to the best they can. Im gonna need some help though.

Firstly (and this is what got me questioning the tablet), its listed as a 'Flytouch 10' in the build.prop, lmfao!! They were A31s. DAM FOOLS these guys. But, this causes me a problem, how do I find what model it actually is?

If people with this 't' chip could post any links to their models (pics, spec etc) then maybe I can find my model. Then I can work on firmware.

More info on the kernel is needed too, what does it support and how to mod it.

Also, I hear talk of this 3188-T firmware patch that neomode mentions in the first post. How can I get it?


If anyone can help with this I might just let you know who I got the tab off and exactly how I got my cash back and got to keep the tab

If you had even taken the time to have read this thread you would know there is no other way to tell which CPU someone is selling has until you open the device and look. In fact, you won't know if it's a "real" CX-919 or a fake or clone unless you look inside to see what actual components it uses and compare it to the original one.

DX.com isn't really a direct reseller, they redistribute other companies products... in fact, I doubt they stock anything of this nature in their own warehouse and probably have them drop shipped from their distributors which is why it takes so long before they get shipped. They are cheap because they don't provide any quality control or any real after sales support. In otherwords, you probably can't even ask them... I doubt that they even know.

Good idea, Steve. That's what I thought before. The boot loader has a special lock down and is tied to all img 's of the model T firmware. We have to search for the adjustments in the boot loader and the connection to the imgs, but it is only a thought and I have no proof for it.

The Radxa img has loader that worked for the. I was not able to extract the file. See my previous message. I hope that ROM can be striped and modified to have full functionality with other devices.
