We discovered that Yifang used two different WiFi chips in the Next7P12-8G models. Getting CWM and new ROMs released for the Next7P12-8G is next on my list. Probably won't be too long now, I hoping to get a whole bunch of new stuff rather quickly soon.

We discovered the Yifang used two different WiFi chips in this model.

I'm currently working on updated ROMs for both WiFi chips. Should be released sometime this week.

must be same with mine as well as i have same issue, wi-fi trys to scan but nothing comes up, will scan and scan and keeps doing it for hours, my build:

If you had the wrong wifi driver, wifi wouldn't turn on at all, which means it would not be able to scan at all. Have you tried wiping data and cache?

Is there any luck with getting the new ROM up to fix the broken WiFi tablets? I know it's a big job but was hoping I can see it this week sometime so just checking in.

Did you buy it new or used?

If you bought it new, I'd say it was defective.

If you bought it used, someone may have installed an incompatible ROM.

Most Nextbooks don't have any bluetooth support at all and some that do don't have internal bluetooth, they only support external bluetooth adapters.

These came with ICS, but if it was purchased from ****, it could have been used...

Hopefully a freshly installed ROM known to be for that device will get everything working...

It's not available. Nextbook won't provide any official stock ROMs and you can't install anything else with the stock Recovery.

You'll have to wait for a custom Recovery and custom ROM.

If it scans, your drivers are probably ok... unfortunately, that means I don't have much advice to offer.

I think I recall reading something somewhere about a known issue involving wifi scanning on amlogic tablets, but I don't remember the details or where I saw it... I think it involved some sort of settings conflict... but I could be wrong...

Start researching and report back for everyone if you find anything.
